A George I style walnut veneer kneehole writing desk, circa 1720, with cross and featherbanded top above a frieze drawer and six drawers surrounding a recess cupboard on bracket feet, 76cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Top with lifting veneer to the feathering, veneer missing to right hand pillar, feather banding missing to recess drawer. Feet and plinth base scuffed. Both sides with splits.

H.M.S. Temeraire: a carved oak wall bracket purported to be made from her timber, scrolling bracket carved with leaves and hanging fruit, the shaped plinth with '18 TEMERAIRE 05' carved to the edge. in 1805 Temeraire went into battle at Trafalgar immediately behind Nelson's flagship H.M.S. Victory, and captured two French ships. She was later immortalized in W. M. Turner's famous painting 'The Fighting Temeraire'.
First Anglo-Afghan War: a purported relic of a gun destroyed by General Sir William Nott at the taking of Ghuznee in 1842, two bronze hoops mounted on a stepped mahogany plinth, engraved plaque: 'The Holders of the Chase Rings of the Celebrated Guznee Gun Zubberjung Destroyed by General Sir W. Nott G.C.B.'.
