Old closed splits. Minor chips. Top/base probably associated. Lots of scratching to top of lower section where cabinet section sits. Section of veneer loss to front left corner of lower section. Some additional scratching to plinth, top of lower section and around keyholes.

Hook fitting to inside possibly later. Some lock escutcheons lacking or little untidy, some locks possibly replaced. Some blooming to the varnish on the doors. Generally good condition overall, no obvious significant damage

Old closed splits. Some small sections of replacement losses to veneers and moulding. No obvious significant damage.Cleaned/repolished. Minor chips. Interior of cabinets is untidy overall, with some later elements and signs of re-gluing. Some surface filler to outermost facing edge of right hand door. Veneer replacement to side panels of lower section. Later filler throughout interior edges of glazing and to edges around glass to exterior therefore glass likely replaced later.

A Victorian walnut Davenport, circa 1870, the pierced three quarter gallery above the hinged fall, opening to an arrangement of six drawers, the panelled cupboard door to one side of the plinth opening to four drawers, the shaped plinth base on turned bun feet and concealed castors, 89cm high, 60cm wide, 56cm deep Condition report** Exterior bears the usual minor chips, knocks and abrasions, overall consistent with age and normal use. It is sun faded to top, front and sides. The veneer to the reverse is rippling. The satinwood lined interior is split right across, from left to right. There are also two vertical splits to the back.

A William IV satinwood and marquetry bookcase, inlaid with bird`s eye maple flower heads and stylized acanthus, the detachable cornice above three sections, the centre with a pair of glazed doors, flanked by single doors, enclosing adjustable shelves to cupboards below with foliate fret panelled doors, on a plinth base, 71.5in (181.5cm) h, 87.75in (222.8cm) w, 15.75in (40cm) d. One door lacking glass, damages to mouldings.
A Louis Philippe burr elm Lit en Bateau or Lit Pliant, by Francois Baudry, the hinged folding panel ends with scroll tops above hinged sides, to a plinth base, originally on truckle type castors, now with later castors, stamped twice `BEAUDRY, BREVETE, RUE ST. ROCH. 10 E`, and with a paper label inscribed `Bary`, 42.75in (108.5cm) h, 78in (198cm) l, 39.5in (100.5cm) d. Provenance:Lot 197, 13 St. Thomas Street, Winchester,House Sale, Phillips, 23rd June 1992. Francois Baudry (1791-1859) was an inventive large scale manufacturer who during the July Monarchy was `Ebeniste du Roi`. See Ledoux-Lebard, Denise, `Le Mobilier Francais Du XIXe Siecle` pp. 43-45 for a biography and a similar example.
A fine Victorian walnut, marquetry and ormolu mounted credenza attributed to Holland & Sons, the burr veneered breakfront top banded in amboyna above a pair of panelled doors inlaid in ivory and various woods: ribbon tied swags of husks, paterae, flowers musical instruments, agricultural implements, and an owl, all on an amboyna ground, enclosing a plush lined interior and two shelves, flanked by a pair of bowed glass doors enclosing a mirrored interior with plush lined shelves, to a plinth base, 40.25in (102.1cm) h, 73.5in (186.6cm) w, 17.25in (43.9cm) d. Columns missing, altered to the back edge, veneer loss.
A Victorian burr walnut cabinet, the moulded edge top inset a hinged compartment and with a 3/4 gallery above a self locking leather lined fall, the interior with an arrangement of eleven plush lined drawers and a recess to house possibly a microscope, the base with two doors the left enclosing a shelf, the right side of the cabinet with six drawers and a locking bar, the left side with dummy drawers, to a plinth base, 48.5in (123.4cm) h, 34.75in (88cm) w, 19in (48cm) d.
