Royal Bombay Fusiliers - A Victorian silver table cigar lighter centrepiece, by The Barnards. London 1879, the triangular platform with lion mask decorated laurel and ribbon border raised on three elephant head feet, with three flames surrounding a central lion rampant holding a crown, 19.5cm wide, 18oz (including understructure) all mounted on a triangular polished hardwood plinth bearing a plaque inscribed `Presented to The Officers` Mess, The Royal Bombay Fusiliers by Lt Colonel Colville Frankland on Promotion 29th January 1879`. Provenance: The Royal Bombay Fusiliers (103rd Regiment of Foot) were amalgamated with the Royal Madras Fusiliers (102nd Regiment of Foot) to form The Royal Dublin Fusiliers in 1881 as part of the Childers Reforms
A George III Longcase Clock, the brass and steel dial inscribed "Agar, York" with seconds ring, date aperture, engraved centre and ormolu spandrels, with strike silent arch, in oak and mahogany case, with swans neck pediment, fluted pilasters and quarter round mouldings, on a plinth base. 7` 6" (224cms) high.
ISIDORE-JULES BONHEUR (1827-1901), RACEHORSE AND JOCKEY, A LARGE PATINATED BRONZE, signed "I Bonheur", raised on a green marble plinth. Bronze 68cm by 75cm, Note: Originally cast in c. 1860, the subject lot is probably a mid-20th century cast.
