Paul Vanstone (b1967) *ARR, a carved grey veined white marble garden sculpture in the form of a bust of an angel, on a black marble plinth base, 180cm high overall. The sculptor studied at Central St Martin's School of Art and the Royal College of Art, then worked as assistant to Anish Kapoor. His works have been exhibited at a number of world leading galleries and museums such as the Tate Modern and the Victoria & Albert Museum
Stuart heavy steam engine with top mounted cylinder with drain cocks enclosed motion work (2.25'' bore x 2'' stroke?). Oil feed from reservoir on side of plinth to steam chest inlet valve. This is actuated via a rod from a heavily sprung arm from the end of the crank axle. Heavy 5'' diameter fly wheel height 16'' to top of cylinder. This is like an enclosed 5A model.

Fed from wood clad horizontal boiler with hard water pump Citadel Manometer, sight glass, whistle, regulator and drain cock. Case measures 31'' long x 16'' tall x 16.5'' wide

Fine quality scratch built beam engine made by a Mr Bailey of Houghton Heath near St Ives. Built with reeve castings for the Vulcan as designed by Edgar T Westbury. Finished in dark green with some polished metal parts parallel motion and watts governor, Entablature supported on A frames. All mounted on a fine hardwood open frame support plinth with gallery rails, wood steps on wood sub base 15'' x 8.25''
A German porcelain vase and cover, 19th century, the pedestal vase finely enamelled with huntsmen on horseback pursuing a stag, the shoulders surmounted by mermaids suspending garlands of foliage, with scattered floral sprigs and insects, the cover surmounted by two cherubs, gilt lined borders, above a puce fluted pedestal and octagonal plinth base further decorated with vignettes of harbour scenes, incised marks to underside, 37cm high (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: Oak leaf moulding with extensive chipping and sections missing. Puce enamelling appears to be mottled, possibly due to over firing. Rather grubby and would benefit from a clean. Ground out makers mark. Cover professionally restored throughout. Cover does not sit flush. See images for clarification.
AUSTRALIAN BIRDS - GLASS DOME 3 birds including a Galah Cockatoo (Eolophus roseicapillus), and two other birds (possibly Australian King Parrots). Under a large glass dome and wooden plinth. 77cms high overall *The vendors family went to Australia in the 19thc (1857-1867) and it's possible they were brought back then. As these are old specimens they do not require a licence to sell, however if sold or shipped outside of the EU they would need a CITES Re Export Permit.
