A Georgian Oak Bookcase, with moulded cornice, fitted six shelves enclosed by a pair of astragal glazed doors, on plinth base, 47ins wide x 14ins deep x 83ins highTo the top of the cornice on all three front edges there are edge knocks and general rubbing, to each side and the base there is general scattered scratching and darker staining and the front is unevenly faded. There is heavier dirt and filth build up between all of the mouldings of the glazing. Key is present and locking mechanisms work however it is slightly warped at the higher end of the right door. Heavier darker scratching and water marks to each shelf. Overall the item is structurally sound with some movement in the joints and to the back right hand edge and left hand edge there are some more extensive edge knocks and timber loss. General heavier wear to the base commensurate with age. Overall the item is in fair condition.

An Edwardian Mahogany Longcase Clock, the 12.5ins arched brass dial with wide silver chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial to the matted centre, and chime silent to the arch, with cast spandrels, to the eight day two train movement striking on five tubular bells, contained in case inlaid with urns, oval fan motifs, ribbons and leaf scroll ornament, with scroll moulded cresting and reeded columns to hood, bevelled oval glass panelled trunk door, on plinth base with bracket feet, 94ins highExternally the clock presents in condition commensurate with age and moderate usage but in generally in fairly good condition. The main body of the clock is free from any signs of obvious damage or previous repair. The door hinges are original and in good condition. The glass appears original and free from any cracks, chips or scratches. The base appears to be contemporary and is free from any obvious sign of damage or repair. Internally the case presents well, no obvious sign of damage or previous repair, all weights and chimes are present as is the pendulum. The hood is in reasonable condition but does have two cracks either side of the scrollwork to the top, these will be visible in the photographs and one of the columns is also misplaced and slightly damaged. Otherwise it is in reasonable condition. The door - hinges appear original, the glass appears to be original and is free from any obvious signs of damage or cracks or chips. The dial - the silvering is good, the fretwork is nice and the black Roman numerals are clear and concise. The hands appear to be original. The fretwork to the sides of the hood is intact and appear to be free from any damage. The mechanism appears to be clean and complete. The chime hammers are intact, however it should be regarded as untested and we cannot warrant that all components are original. The winding crank is not present.
An 18th Century Green Japanned Longcase Clock, by John Watts of Canterbury, the 12ins arched brass dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture to the matted dial centre and cast spandrels to corners, to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell contained in case decorated in gilt with chinoiseries, birds and flowers, with arched and moulded cornice and turned columns to hood, arched and moulded trunk door, on plinth base with bracket feet, 85ins high Note: John Watts of Canterbury recorded working 1720-1775 Externally the clock presents in good original condition showing wear and fading to the chinoiserie commensurate wuth age and usage. There is no obvious sign of any previous damage or repair, other than a great deal of patination of age. The hood appears to be in good condition, the door functions correctly and the glass appears to be original. The door is on its original hinges and appears to function correctly. The weights and pendulum are present. The mechanism appears complete but we cannot warrant the originality of all components. The clock should be regarded as untested. The brass dial is in good condition and the Roman numerals are clear and concise. The hands appear original. Overall a very honest example.
A Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Writing Desk with moulded edge and green and gilt tooled leather inset to top, fitted nine small drawers, on plinth base, 44ins x 26ins x 30ins highTo the top on the crossbanded edge there is some light scattered scratching and darker staining and various areas of shrinkage with horizontal and vertical shrinkage splits. The leather is slightly distressed and there is some slight wear to the gilt tooling and the leather is slightly stained in various places. The drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. The left hand side is slightly faded compared to the top. General heavier wear to the plinth base commensurate with age and some slight veneer loss. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement
