12th (Prince of Wales’s Royal) Lancers Victorian OR’s lance cap plate circa 1882-1905. A good scarce die-stamped brass example. Triangular fluted plate bearing Prince of Wales’s plumes over Royal Arms above Sphinx on Egypt plinth flanked by “SOUTH AFRICA 1851.2.3” and “CENTRAL INDIA” scrolls; across the base a tri-part scroll “PENINSULA SEVASTOPOL WATERLOO”.
