A Winterhalder & Hofmeier burr walnut and gilt brass quarter chiming bracket clock, late 19th century, the arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring Roman numerals and fleur-de-lys hour markers, subsidiary dials for slow/fast and chime/silent, the three train movement chiming the quarters on four coil gongs and the hour on a further gong, the backplate stamped W&H/Sch, the handsome arch top case surmounted by three acorn finials above a foliate cast mount in the arch, the arch door flanked by Corinthian columns, the breakfront plinth base raised on flattened gilt brass bun feet, with pendulum, winder and case key. 60cm to top of the finial

P Davis Gallery, Dublin;Private collection Possibly exhibited at `Jonathan Wade Paintings`, 30 May to 15 June (year not stated), catalogue no. 16 as Seated Figure Born in Pelletstown, Co. Dublin, Jonathan Wade was one of the most significant urban inspired artists Ireland has yet produced. His preoccupation with the urban and industrial landscape was largely a result of a Marxist philosophy combined with personal experience - he worked in an abattoir whilst studying by night at the National College of Art and was later employed in an oil company depot in London. His works have been described variously as ferocious, haunted and catastrophic (For further reading see Snoddy, pp. 682-683).

A Wedgwood pale blue jasperware panel, depicting Cupid on a plinth with various Classical figures offering sacrifices, impressed mark, 10.5cm x 25cm (4.25" x 9.75") Condition Report: Pencil notes to underside including title ‘Floral Sacrifice’ and CB/N. Impressed mark WEDGWOOD. Grubby in areas but condition good; no cracks or chips.
An Art Deco clock garniture, the onyx mantel clock with two spelter antelope to the side, the shaped dial signed H.Pennarun, Quimper, 54.5cm (21.25") wide, the two glass garniture vases each on metal socle to an onyx plinth with bun feet Condition Report: The condition is good with some small chips to onyx and a slight crack in right hand tapered upright, clock is not going but it has both pendulum and key. The vases are in similar condition.
A good Victorian mother-of-pearl inlaid black lacquer papier mache jewellery cabinet, the hinged serpentine lid painted and inlaid with a panel depicting Windsor Castle, opens to reveal pink silk lined compartments, a pair of doors revealing an open niche and an arrangement of eight drawers, the lower of which is a writing slope, raised on a splayed serpentine plinth, the whole foliate painted and inlaid with gilded highlights, height 35.5cm.
