An early 19c mahogany partners desk of rectangular form with moulded edge and having green leather insert, on one side a long drawer over kneehole flanked by two short drawers supported on cupboard pedestals, each cupboard enclosed by a hinged panel door and on opposing side one long drawer over kneehole flanked by two short drawers and six pedestal drawers, all with brass swing handles. The desk has triple panelled sides to the pedestals and is supported on a moulded plinth with castors, 137cm w, 107cm d, 78cm h.
18th century oak longcase clock by Samuel Wright, Northwich, twin train movement striking the hour on a bell, the brass dial with moon phase in the arch and silvered chapter ring having Roman and Arabic numerals, signed to dial, the arched and moulded cornice above blind fretwork frieze and pillars, raised on plinth base and bracket feet, with two weights, pendulum, key and winder, H221cm Horizontal crack to glass (possible replacement). Glass sides panels warped.Chips and cracks to top. Repair to inside of trunk below seat board.Warping and hairline crack to trunk door. Crack to plinth base. Crack to side.Two back feet slightly broken - loose but present.Heavily scratched to chapter ring. Wear and loss of paint to moon phase.Bell slightly bent. Columns slightly loose. Dial door with slight split to wood and slight chip to edge. Crack to side of plinth base.Minor scratches and wear to case. Bend to bell.Break to bob on pendulum - rod and bob detached but present. Cannot guarantee the working order.
