A Victorian burr walnut veneer writing cabinet:, the upper part with a pierced brass three quarter gallery, having a maple veneered interior with pigeon holes and four small central drawers, enclosed by a pair of domed moulded panel doors, flanked by turned, fluted and foliate carved column uprights, the lower part having a cushion frieze fitted writing drawer with tooled leather inset hinged writing surface, having a moulded panel front, with turned, fluted and foliate columns and cupboards to either side, one being fitted with three slides, the other with four small drawers, each enclosed by a moulded panel door, on a plinth base, 63.5cm (2ft 1in) wide, 121cm (3ft 11 3/4in) high.
