A very attractive 19th Century French white marble and gilt brass Mantle Clock Garniture, the movement by A.D. Mougin, with outside count wheel striking on a steel bell #5071, the white marble case surmounted with a two handled urn, the pediment with brass bead moulding above a circular convex enamel dial with Arabic numerals and decorated with floral garlands above a mount in the form of a quiver of arrows and a torch issuing leaf sprays, the side panels applied with swags and ribbon bows on a rectangular white marble plinth and four brass legs, 41cms x 20cms (16" x 8"); together with a pair of matching two branch three light, brass and white marble Candelabra, 29cms (11 /2"). Some chipped losses to the chapter ring. The ebony base is looking tired but the glass dome at least is in good condition.

No evident splits, worm, or shrinkage. Some slight colour fading to the drawer fronts perhaps. Nothing of concern, a handsome piece of furniture.

Qty: 4Condition report:The shallower urn has been quite crudely repaired in the past and so has remaining cracks throughout (held together by a strong filler by the seems of it) with resulting losses to the rim and body.The deeper of the two urns also has cracks running from the rim, some travelling through the entire width of the stone.
