H: 18,7 cm Weight: 842,5 grams Provenance: - a private collection; - Juan Carlos Katzenstein (1925-2018), an Argentinian Diplomat, who was an Ambassador in Beijing, China, from December 6, 1975 to January 2, 1978, and later to the Holy See (Vatican) and to the Sovereign Order of Malta from 1989 to 1991 (by repute). Notes: Amitābha is a celestial buddha according to the scriptures of Mahayana Buddhism. He is the principal Buddha in Pure Land Buddhism, a branch of East Asian Buddhism. In Vajrayana Buddhism, and is known for his longevity attribute, magnetizing Western attributes of discernment, pure perception and purification of the aggregates with a deep awareness of emptiness of all phenomena. A GARRARD 301 TRANSCRIPTION TURNTABLE, Schedule No 51400/2, Serial No 58451 mounted to a recent plinth and fitted with a Goldring Lenco P77 Tone arm and a modern platter. Manual for the Garrard and for the P77 (condition: looks to be refurbished, isnt wired to a plug so not tested, needle is incomplete, control plates maybe replacements, knobs for on/off and speed have been repaired)

A SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ALABASTER AND GILT METAL FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK BY JAPY FRERES, with gilt metal figure of a seated Renaissance figure with a sword, the drum shaped clock with enamel dial (cracked) and Roman numerals, the eight day movement over wound, bell strike, the shaped rectangular base with gilt metal classical mounts, on scrolled front feet, height 36cm x width 47cm, with velvet covered plinth, pendulum, key and receipt dated March 1989 (Clock, plinth and envelope) (Condition report: clock is not in working order, alabaster is cracked)
