An Edwardian mahogany bookcase, with rear upstand, single shelf, pair of panelled cupboard doors and raised on a plinth base. Width 111 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Generally good condition. Top flat with no splits. Sides in good order. Cupboard doors no warped and shut as they should. Plinth base generally good condition. Backboards original. Piece structurally sound. One or two minor scratches and marks but nothing significant.
A Victorian cast iron sheep doorstop, and small cast iron swan. Sheep length 24 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The swan is in good condition with no issues. The sheep is in generally good order. There is a loss to the bottom front right hand edge of the plinth. This looks to be an original firing mark. An Edwardian mahogany open bookcase, with moulded edge, blind fretwork frieze and cluster columns and raised on bracket feet. Width 114 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Shelves missing. The edge moulding missing above all cluster columns and partially to the left and right hand returns. Scuffs and marks to plinth requires some minor restoration.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany wardrobe, with detachable moulded cornice above a pair of doors enclosing shelves and with drawers beneath and flanked on either side by a mirrored door and raised on a plinth base with bracket feet. Width 201 cm, height 216.5 cm, depth 62 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cornice is in generally good order with only minor surface scratches and the odd small scuff. The inlaid frieze is in good condition all the way round. The centre doors are of good colour and are not warped. All drawer fronts are in generally good condition with only minor surface scratches. The side doors are in generally good order with no warping. The mirror plates are in good condition. The right hand door has a scuff to the outside edge of the top corner. There are scuffs along the top of the plinth. The plinth itself is in good order with only minor scratches and scuffs as one would expect. There are no splits to the sides. We have the door keys. The locks are original and work. We do not have the drawer keys but all locks are present. The colour and polish are generally good and there are no real condition issues.
A Victorian satin walnut wardrobe, with detachable moulded cornice above a mirror door and two panelled doors enclosing hanging space and drawers and raised on a plinth base. Width 197 cm, depth 66 cm, height 214 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cornice is in good condition. The right hand side has a timber loss to the bottom right hand corner approx 4ins square. This requires a patch. The left hand side is in good condition with only minor scuffs and scratches. The doors are not warped. They close as they should. The interior drawers are all present but the trays to the upper half are missing. The mirror is in good order with no cracks. The plinth base is a little scuffed as one would expect. The backboards are original. Overall the condition is generally good.
LARGE GILDED AND POLYCHROME PAINTED CAST BRONZE FIGURE OF THE BUDDHA, sitting cross legged in a pensive pose on a lotus leaf indented oval base. Overall painted and gilded with intricate floral designs. (Possibly Tibetan). 63cm high approx.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Overall generally worn with minor chips and frits, scratches and scrapes, caused by handling. RARE LARGE PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY DERBYSHIRE BRAMPTON STONEWARE POTTERY, SALT GLAZED, SEATED SPANIELS, each with collar and padlock, later glass eyes and on a fruit and foliate relief oval plinth with paw feet. Unmarked. 38cm high. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Both are in good condition overall for their age, with the following issues:One has had a leg broken off and stuck back, chips and frits particularly around base rim and exposed edges, one glass eye missing.The other, similarly, with frits and chips around exposed edges and with a large chip out of one foot. Both are rather grubby and have original firing cracks in different places.
