A Meissen porcelain figure of an Imperial German Infantryman, c.1914, blue crossed swords mark, model no. E 284 and Pressnummer 122, wearing typical tunic and equipment, the pickel haulbe cover and shoulder straps numbered for the 102nd regiment, 3rd Royal Saxon Infantry, modelled holding a GEW 98 rifle and stepping onto a rock, the plinth base moulded with two cartouches and an iron cross, 19cm highCondition Report: The bayonet strapped to the back of the infantryman is missing the pommel. Surface dirt can be seen in the crevasses around the feet and brocade, and to the underside of the base. The footrim of the base with typical wear consistent with age. The overall decoration is in good condition.

A Staffordshire Enoch Wood pearlware group of the Madonna and Child, c.1785-90, the Madonna wearing gilt flowered white robes and with the Infant on her lap, seated on a purple and red stool, on a brightly marbled plinth base, 32.4cm highFootnotes: Note: This pearlware sculpture was modelled after Lucas Faydherbe’s sculpture of the Madonna and the Infant Jesus.  For the terracotta bozzetto by Faydherbe of circa 1670 in the British Museum, London, see Hugh Tait, ‘An unknown Bozzetto of Lucas Faydherbe’ in Burlington Magazine, CIV, June 1962, pp.257-265.Condition Report: Several firing cracks present to the base and hollow interior of the figure group. A repaired and re-glued crack around the front neckline of the Madonna is visible, two more firing cracks are present to the garments gathered under the left arm of the Madonna, further firing cracks can be seen to the garments underneath the stool on which she sits. A hairline crack present to the forefinger of the Infant's left hand. Large areas of the figure group have heavy crazing. Some general surface dirt present to the top layer, and also some dirt under the top glaze to the back of the Madonna's robes. Decoration overall is in good condition with much of the gilt highlights intact, the colour of the seat and base is largely good.

A George III mahogany repeating table clock, John Lambert, last quarter 18th century, the case with inverted bell top surmounted by a brass swing handle and flanked by four acorn finials, the break arch door with Rococo style brass quadrants, the sides with glass panels, on a plinth base with brass bracket feet, the arched silvered dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, the gilt matted centre with silvered plate signed Jn Lambert London and date aperture at six, with Strike / Silent subsidiary dial to arch and having C-scroll spandrels, the twin fusee movement with verge escapement, the backplate finely engraved with scrolling flowers and foliage, striking a bell and having pull cord repeat, the pendulum with pear shaped bob, with two case keys, 51cm high (handle extended), 27.5cm wide, 18.3cm deep   Provenance: Private London collection, purchased by current owner from W. F. An Italian bronze bust of Dionysus, cast by Fonderia Sommer, late 19th century, after the Antique, with cast foundry mark Sommer Napoli, on a waisted socle and octagonal base, 16cm high; together with a French bronze tazza, late 19th century, the circular shallow dish cast with a figure of a Classical male playing pipes and carrying a lyre, a dog at his side, the pierced handles with bearded masks, on slender spreading socle and circular foot, on later square black fossil marble plinth, 21cm high, 34cm wide (2)Footnotes: Note: The original bust of Dionysus was excavated from the ash and lava covered Villa Dei Papiri, on the outskirts of Herculaneum in 1759. It is now housed in the Naples Archaeological Museum and has been previously identified as Plato.  The model came to prominence in the late 19th century when the Chiurazzi founders included it in their sale catalogue of antique style reproductions.

A French gilt and patinated bronze figural mantel clock, mid-19th century, modelled as a young man carrying a hay bale on his back while leaning on a cane and holding a pipe, on a plinth base with gilt-bronze mounts and four bun feet, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer minute, signed Gerard a Paris, with Brequet hands, the twin train movement striking a bell on the hour and half hour, approx. 35.8cm high, 28cm wide, 10.5cm deepProvenance: Property of a Gentleman removed from a Knightsbridge Apartment.Please note that Roseberys do not guarantee the working order or time keeping of any timepiece.Condition Report: Case: There is tarnishing to the bronze, particularly to the base, with engrained dirt, finger prints and scratches. The underside with two bun feet missing and the remaining four feet are heavily scratched. Base is marked and tarnished to underside. There is a crack approx. 5cm long with other minor cracks to the reverse of the base. Minor tarnishing to figure and clock case, with minor losses to gilt on the bale and to the trousers. Dial: There are hairline cracks to the dial, to includes hairlines issuing from the winding holes to between 7 and 8 and through 5, and another through 9. There are scratches and areas of dirt throughout, especially to dial centre. The signature is rubbed. Hands are slightly bent.Movement: Some minor tarnishing and scratching to backplate. Possible replaced bell. Suspension spring and pendulum leader missing. There is no pendulum or key. Please note that Roseberys do not guarantee the working order or time keeping of any timepiece.

A pair of Paris (Jacob Petit) porcelain figural flasks and covers, c.1845, blue j.P. marks, incised p marks, modelled as male and female chinoiserie figures, each in brightly-coloured clothes, his cape and her collar edged with tassels, the stoppers formed as conical hats moulded with dragons, standing on rectangular plinth bases with canted angles, restorations, 22.7cm high overall, on later shaped giltwood bases (2)Provenance: Property of a Gentleman removed from a Knightsbridge Apartment.Footnotes: Note: For a pair of Jacob Petit flasks modelled as a Sultan and Sultane, see Régine de Plinvalde Guillebon, Faïence et Porcelaine de Paris XVIIIe – XIXe Siècles, Dijon, 1995, p. 380, no. 367.Condition Report: Each figure with some damages and restoration. The cover modelled as a hat for the male figure has a repair to the finial and several chips to the rim, while the cover for the female figure is missing the finial, the part of the hat below the finial has also been repaired, and there is a large chip to the rim. The right hand of the male figure has some restorative glaze to the inside fingers, and the scroll in the left hand has been replaced. The back end of the green robe has some losses of paint and the gilded tassels are rubbed. The left hand of the female figure has been re-attached, the orb she holds is heavily rubbed. Examination under UV light shoes some evidence of overpainting to the face of the female figure. Further losses to gilding around the base of each figure.

Some remedial retouching and restorations to surface throughout.
