A large mantel clock in the French Empire style, the lyre-shaped ormolu case with marble urn and ormolu finial, flanked by two fauns carrying a garland, standing on a shaped marble plinth on ormolu base with lion's paw feet. The key wind balance wheel movement strikes with two hammers on a bell. Condition. The case is in good condition apart from the garland which is detached at a joint, easily refixed. The German movement needs attention as the mainspring appears to be not locking on its pawl, making it not possible to check the operation. 34x19x61cm. high.

A marble figure of the cult statue of Hera of Samos, with central pillar image of Hera wearing a polos headdress, hair parted in the centre and falling to the shoulders, wearing loose robes belted at the waist; two smaller goddesses to either side in pillar form wearing a stephane headdress, hair parted in the centre and falling to the shoulders, wearing lose robes belted at the waist; all three figures standing on a rectangular plinth. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, some staining, possibly lacking a metal bracelet to hand attached to hip, slight damage, possibly a small burn blemish to proud thumb, slightly detached from plinth base, some glue residue, general wear.
