BENSON LANDES (1927-2013); a bronze washed with verdigris "Cabaret", an artist copy, signed and on oval marble plinth, height 46cm, with copy of valuation appraisal by the artist in 2011 at £4,500. (D) CONDITION REPORT: General condition appears good. Few scratches and dents, particularly on the right thigh. Minor staining or loss to patina between the collar bones. Numerous casting imperfections but most likely they are part of design. Base stable and so is the figure on the base. Some surface dirt. Stick slightly bent. No obvious damage or restorations. CONDITION REPORT: Slightly tarnished. Very slightly uneven on foot when standing. Overall condition.

FERDINAND PREISS (German 1892-1943); a c.1925 cold painted bronze and carved ivory "Autumn Dancer" depicting a woman in dance pose balancing on one leg, raised on green onyx and black marble base above octagonal plinth, signed F Preiss to the back, height 36.5cm. Reference: Albert Shayo, Ferdinand Preiss Art Deco Sculpture, The Fire and The Flame, Suffolk, 2005 page 173 (example illustrated). CONDITION REPORT: There are several hairline splits to each part of the ivory particularly to the raised leg, face and back. The red detail to the jewellery is slightly rubbed. There are some traces of paint to the left arm, left hand probably reattached. Minor rubbing and tarnish to the gilding. A few areas of minor dirt. A few chips to the upper edge of the plinth. Minor wear to the base.

The top is in generally good condition, with some slight staining and chips, mostly to the edges, and with occasional cracks to the specimen sections. The marble base that it stands on has been extensively damaged and poorly repaired, with a socle base, damaged and a wooden plinth base.

The marble top has numerous edge knocks, especially to the back, and a few cracks, although nothing visually off putting, general wear and rubbing to the gilt decoration, and the mahogany plinth base with knocks etc to the corners, consummate with modern use and vacuum cleaners.

The door front is mahogany, unlike the rest of it, which is stained to look like mahogany, has the ivorine plaque to it, all the drawers have a glass lift out top to them, with homemade dividers to some of them. No key. The plinth base has general wear commensurate with age and attack by vacuum cleaners.
