A Victorian mahogany bookcase, c. 1860, moulded outswept cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing three adjustable shelves, Hobbs & Co locks, the projecting base with a further pair of doors enclosing shelves, skirted plinth base, 244cm h; 142 x 44cm Generally good condition. Some expected light surface scratching and wear, mostly so around the two keyholes.

Leicester City FC and Wales FA memorabilia relating to David 'Dai' Jones, 1932-1937 including:A 9 carat gold Football League Division 2 Champions medal, Vaughtons Ltd, Birmingham 1936, not engraved, diameter 28mm, 23g, in fitted Vaughtons jewellery box, together with a 9ct gold box link chain, 50cm, 5.5g;A Football Association of Wales 1935-6 International Cap, 1935-36, with tassel;'The Dragon of Wantley', a presentation silver plated table lighter by Walker & Hall, silver plated body with antelope horn tail, on an oak plinth with engraved presentation plaque "Football Association of Wales, International Champions 1933 & 1934, Presented to Mr D. O. Jones", overall length 46cm;an International Soccer Championship & Triple Crown Won by Wales 1936-7 trophy, football form with angel finial, Welsh red dragon badge to plastic base; together with a quantity of other memorabilia: a silver-plated Grimsby Hospital Cup and three scrapbooks containing newspapers clippings, family photos and press photographs.Footnote:Leicester City won the Division 2 title in the 1936-37 season. Presumably awarded to David Owen Jones. David (Dai) Owen Jones was a defender for Leicetser City between 1933 & 1937 and was also capped seven times by Wales.
Oak longcase clock, the hood with swan neck pediment, turned columns, trunk with long door, plinth base (adapted), twelve inch square painted dial signed Jno. Deacon, Leicester, thirty hour movement striking on a bell, height 211cm.Condition report:Weight and pendulum present but lacking the weight chain so not able to determine if in working order. Dial repainted in part. The hood with various replacements and restorations. The trunk is generally ok, the base front panel is split and there are numerous lengths of missing crossbanded outlines, with the lefthand bas panel coming away slightly. Adaptation to the baseline.
Scottish mahogany longcase clock, hood with swan neck pediment and eagle finial, Corinthian column supports, trunk with long arched door, fluted quarter pilasters, plinth on short turned legs, thirteen inch arched brass dial with subsidary seconds dial and date aperture, signed James Bowie, Kirkcaldy, eight day movement striking on a bell, height 218cm.Condition report:Two weights and a pendulum are present (the pendulum shaft is bent and misaligned). Not set up in the saleroom to determine if fully working. The movement appears complete. The minute hand has been replaced. Some spot tarnishing on the dial. HIstoric repairs to the swan necks on the hood. The rest of the case is generally in good presentable condition, some of the crossbanding is replaced. Adaptations to the base and feet.
Waterloo interest - a house brick lodged with a musket ball mounted onto a wooden display plinth inscribed ' Ferme De La Papalotte 1815 '. Papelotte Farm is a farm located on the Waterloo battlefield which was part of Wellington 's defense system and was briefly occupied by French troops on June 18, 1815.
A Napoleonic War era Battle of Waterloo campaign medal awarded to one James Murphy of the 18th Regiment Hussars. The obverse a left facing effigy of the Prince Regent with the inscription GEORGE P. REGENT and the reverse a figure of Victory seated on a plinth with the words Wellington above, and Waterloo below. Heavily worn, name impressed slightly uneven.
AN ORMOLU AND SILVERED KETTLE DRUM BAROMETER ATTRIBUTED TO J.J HICKS, 19TH CENTURY, RETAILED BY T.K AUSTIN & CO., DUBLIN the angled silvered dial and bezel within a simulated drum case, supported on x-framed ormolu stand and onyx plinth base. 21.5cm high Kettle Drum Barometers of exactly this design are known from marked examples by James Joseph Hicks (1837 - 1916) Haton Gardens, London. Hicks who was born in Rosscarbery, Co. xcork was one of the leading suppliers of barometers and thermometers in London in the last quarter of the 19th century.
