A Chinese white-glazed stoneware Joss Stick Holder 17th/18th Century Modelled as a seated Dog of Fo, on a rectangular plinth base 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) high. Provenance: Trelawney Antiques, Penzance, where purchased by the present owner in 1979. The accompanying receipt also states that this piece was shown to the late G. Hodgson (a member of the Oriental Ceramics Society) who assessed it as certainly 17th or 18th Century but possibly earlier.

(25.3 cm.) high (restoration). Provenance: Harlequin Antiques, Bruton, Somerset, where purchased by the present owner in 1988.
