A large Japanese bottle vase on hardwood plinth. With tall knopped slender neck over a globular body. Decorated in coloured enamels with mountainous landscapes with buildings and fishermen under stylized bands. Seal mark, 60cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Converted to a lamp at some point with a drill hole in the base. U shaped section of the neck re glued.
A pair of early nineteenth century Paris porcelain twin handled pedestal potpourri vases. Painted in coloured enamels with continuing landscapes and with bands of gilt scrollwork, 14cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Covers lacking. One seperated from the plinth but these were originally seperately made.
A very fine Regency rosewood twin pedestal chess table and accompanying carved ivory chess set in the single fitted drawer. The canted gaming top with penwork decoration has a checkered centre board with each square decorated with a flower head and under a wide border of acanthus scrolls and with two panels decorated with Classical farming scenes. The plain frieze is edged with bobbin turned moulding above double baluster supports over a swan neck plinth with further bobbin moulds and raised on squat bun feet, 74.5cm high, 71cm wide, king pieces 12.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Chess set intact, red king with a chip to the crown, white king finial re glued, red bishop with a rough patch to one side of the reeded column otherwise all pieces in good condition. The table is in overall very good condition. With expected marks and wear. Penwork top has survived remarkably well. Structurally sound. The loop handle to the original key is broken but still functioning.
A late nineteenth century Meissen allegorical figure emblematic of sight from the four senses. Modelled as a woman seated by a table and gazing into a mirror. Raised on a bow fronted plinth with fluted moulding. Underglazed cross swords mark, 14cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Head broken and crudely re attached. Mirror broken and re glued. Chipping to the base edge and loss to the lace work.
A 1930s plaster cast and painted figural fish bowl. Formed as a young boy holding a glass oblong vessel and raised on a rectangular plinth. Impressed registration numbers verso, 55cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Minor abrasion to the paint on one of the folds of his hair. No breaks.
