A rare pair of early 19th century Staffordshire Pearl Ware lions, each model on rectangular plinth base with one front paw resting on a ball, tails raised over their backs, with pink highlighted plinths, lengths approx 28.5cm. These models are based on the antique marble lions which stand at the entrance of the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence, Italy. A similar pair are illustrated on page 196 in Pat Halfpenny's 'English Earthenware figures 1740-1840' book. CONDITION REPORT: One has had tail broken - a clean break at both ends. Crack from right knee to middle of back. The other has a chip to the corner of the plinth.
Four 19th century Staffordshire figures/figure groups 'George & Eliza Harris', height 35cm, Queen Victoria standing beside a plinth, height 29.5cm, 'Milton', height 27cm and a Scotsman playing bagpipes, height 37.5cm (4). CONDITION REPORT: Queens head has been off and restored. some small losses and crazing throughout.
