A neoclassical portico,19th century and later, the moulded pediment raised on a column support and plinth base, 277cm wide42.5cm deep28cm high, anda carved oak arch,130.5cm wide189cm high (2)Provenance: The Gordon Gridley Collection, London.The portico constructed of carved oak elements made up with mdf, numerous alterations knocks chips and staining throughout attention and restoration required.The arch is 130.5cm wide in total. The internal width of the arch is approx. 80cm, although the joints dont fit together pefectly. The columns, pediment and arch are made mostly of oak with some ply backing. The base is ply. The carving is between 9-12cm wide/ high. The arch is between 4-12cm thick. Total height of portico is 289cm.

General wear, knocks and scratches to the hood and the case. Split to inside of the door. Damage to backboards, with a later baton applied. Case appears cleaned and re-finished. Areas of wear to the silver dial. Scratches and marks. Ticks and chimes when wound, however a little eratically and we would recommend inspection by a professional. Tarnish and discolouration to brass. Associated winding key present.

Oak longcase clock, arched hood with moulded edge, three quarter engaged columns, long arched door, plinth base, twelve inch arched brass dial with moon phase, scrolled spandrels, silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed Thomas Fletcher, Chester, eight-day movement striking on a bell, height 207cm.Condition report:The case has had quite a lot of repairs, mostly to the hood, columns, base and mouldings, dial does not fit particularly well, has a pendulum and two weights.
19th century mahogany cased 8 day long case clock with painted enamel dial, by Woller, NorwichThe clock doesn't look like it has been running for many years and would need a service. There is no pendulum but we do have the weights. The foot/plinth may have been replaced. The case is in fair condition commensurate with age.
