A Napoleonic War era Battle of Waterloo campaign medal awarded to one Lieut Edward Hamil of the 1st Reg Dragoons. The obverse a left facing effigy of the Prince Regent with the inscription GEORGE P. REGENT and the reverse a figure of Victory seated on a plinth with the words Wellington above, and Waterloo below. Heavily worn. Sold as is.

Mask spandrels and boarder engraving to the dial. Two train movement with fined pillars, striking on a bell, and brass cased weights. In a mahogany case with barber shop inlays to the trunk corners. Raised on a plinth which may be associated.Dimensions 81" (86 with plinth) x 18 (24" with plinth) x 10"Condition report - Parts of the case look to be refinished. The plinth maybe a later addition Movement seat-board is a replacement pendulum and trunk door key present. Movement not tested.
A KHMER BRONZE FIGURE OF A CROWNED BUDDHA, 13TH CENTURYThailand, Lopburi style. Cast standing atop a small plinth, the hands held in a variant combining the vitarka and abhaya mudra, wearing a cape with sampot and adorned with a sumptuous belt as well as large earrings and a tall, pointed crown. The back with a small ring for suspension. Provenance: Private collection, Belgium. Condition: Extensive wear with signs of weathering and erosion, and residue of gilt on the crown. Fine, naturally grown, dark patina, with areas of cuprite and malachite encrustations.Weight: 996 g (incl. base)Dimensions: Height 23.3 cm (excl. base), 28.5 cm (incl. base)With an associated modern base (2).
A LARGE BRONZE OF BUDDHA, SHAN STATEBurma, 18th - 19th century. The Buddha seated in vajrasana with his right hand lowered in bhumisparsa mudra and his left held palm-upward in dhyana mudra as he sits in meditation on a triangular sectioned plinth, wearing a monastic robe, with crisply cast facial features, the eyes inlaid in glass, the hair worked in tight curls surmounted by the ushnisha.Provenance: Old German private collection.Condition: Condition commensurate with age. Old wear, some casting flaws, nicks and dents, few small losses. The left hand is an old replacement and removable. The interior with extensive cuprite encrustation. Finely cast seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base over a waisted plinth, his left hand resting in his lap and the right lowered in bhumisparsha mudra. He is wearing a diaphanous sanghati and necklaces, his hair arranged in tight curls rising to an ushnisha, backed by a round halo surmounted by a ribboned canopy.Condition: Good condition with extensive wear, casting flaws, few small losses, minuscule nicks, and minor dents.
