Lot 748
A large polychrome carved wood figure of Guanyin. Dressed in flowing robes, holding a bottle in one hand and beads in the other. Raised on a lotus plinth, 103cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Large natural split to the plinth, smaller split to the chest and one verso. Re glued section to the right hand. Some paint flaking and wear.
Lot 767
A very fine Regency rosewood twin pedestal chess table and accompanying carved ivory chess set in the single fitted drawer. The canted gaming top with penwork decoration has a checkered centre board with each square decorated with a flower head and under a wide border of acanthus scrolls and with two panels decorated with Classical farming scenes. The plain frieze is edged with bobbin turned moulding above double baluster supports over a swan neck plinth with further bobbin moulds and raised on squat bun feet, 74.5cm high, 71cm wide, king pieces 12.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Chess set intact, red king with a chip to the crown, white king finial re glued, red bishop with a rough patch to one side of the reeded column otherwise all pieces in good condition. The table is in overall very good condition. With expected marks and wear. Penwork top has survived remarkably well. Structurally sound. The loop handle to the original key is broken but still functioning.

A Japanese Meiji period Satsuma baluster vase on carved hardwood plinth. Ground in cobalt blue, gilded with a continuing river landscape with turtles, chrysanthemums and peonies and with two panels enamelled with deities. Character marks, vase 36cm high. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Crazed, no damage or repair.

A Chinese carved jade censer raised on a pierced and carved hardwood plinth. With domed cover surmounted by a coiled mythical beast and three ram masks, the main body has a pair of dragon mask handles supporting separately carved rings and is raised on three slender supports, jade 15.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Good condition. No major chips and free from cracks. Some very tiny nibbles to the rim.
