A collection of stuffed and mounted exotic birds including Black-hooded Oriole and various other exotic birds in naturalistic setting, under an oval glass dome on an ebonised plinth base CONDITION REPORTS The dome measures approx 25 cms in width x approx 47 cms in height and approx 20 cms in depth. The back of the dome has several bad cracks in it which are being held together by tape - see images. There is black paint around the bottom edge at the dome. The glass is wavey and has air bubbles throughout. the dome also has various scratches and paint marks. All the birds inside the dome have ruffled feathers. Some feather loss and discolouration. There are some insect inhabitants. The birds have some wires exposed. Some of the foliage is broken and have come apart. The ebonised base has various scratches and scuffs and some paint marks on it. Some paint loss to the naturalistic base and also some cracking. The glass does not sit on the base properly as it os not the original glass. General signs of wear and tear throughout - please see images attached.
A stuffed and mounted collection of exotic birds amongst branches including Bee-eater, Oriole, etc, under an oval glass dome on an ebonised plinth base CONDITION REPORTS The dome measures approximately 37.5 cms wide, approx 62 cms high and approx 23 cms deep. No visible cracks in the glass dome. Some scratches, air bubbles and the glass is quite wavey. Some chips to the bottom edge of the dome and there is also some paint on the bottom edge of the dome together with some tape. General signs of wear and tear throughout. All birds inside the dome have some ruffled feathers, feather loss and discolouration. The birds also have exposed wires with some signs of insect inhabitants. Some loose and broken foliage, some of the papier maché forming the rocks below has been exposed. There is also some paint loss to the rocks. The ebonised space has various scratches and scuffs with some cracking to the paint. General signs of wear and tear throughout - please see images attached.
