A silver goblet, by Hugh Wallis, Chester 1927, the spot hammered bell shaped bowl on hexagonal stem, terminating in a domed hexagonal base, with presentation inscription on ebonised plinth, 17cm high with base Hugh Wallis (1871-1943) was well known for his designs in brass, copper and pewter, as well as silver. His work often incorporated intricate inlaid metal designs. He trained at Bushey, Hertfordshire, before opening a studio in 1900 in Altrincham. He registered his first mark at Chester Assay Office in 1905 and became an important member of the Northern Art Workers' Guild. CONDITION REPORT: Surface scratches. Top rim dented and mishapen.
A Georgian navette shaped memorial clasp, c.1780, the ten row clasp, 39 x 29mm, with a painted memorial scene en grisaille beneath a glazed cover, the plinth below the urn to read 'DP obt. Feby - 10 1783 aged 59' and above 'in death lamented and in life beloved', concealed box clasp, four eyelets deficient, wriggle decoration verso with monogram, together with a Georgian double sided, glazed locket with split pearl border, with a row of split pearls in cut down collets to the bezel and bale, glass scratched, both tested as approximately 9ct gold (2) CONDITION REPORT: Light surface marks to the glazing, with patches of tarnish to the mount. Four eyelets deficient. The glazed pendant is very dirty, two pearls deficient.

A 2 1/2" Gauge coal fired live steam Brass Kit Built 'Duchess' Class 8P 4-6-2 with Bassett Lowke castings - sprung Drivers and Tender, twin axle driven pump, mechanical lubrication, 2 blower valves and steam and water Gauges. The Boiler is untested but there is no evidance of leaks and an internal inspection suggests that it is in Good condition. The main locomotive body and Tender are unpainted and the Model has yet to be named. Overall an Excellent model built to a professional standard. The Lot includes a length of track on a Mahogany plinth for display.
