An early 20th century night watchman's watch, the white enamelled dial set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds hand, indistinct maker's marks, with Swiss movement in nickel case stamped '1816450', housed in an oak case with hinged front, velvet lined plinth and three 'The Obach Dry Cell' Siemens Brothers & Co batteries with leather carry handle, 16 x 16 x 8cm (af).Condition Report: Notable losses to the outer case nickel finish, hairline fracture to the enamel dial through the subsidiary dial pin, clock glass missing and there is no bulb to the upper portion of the clock, velvet plinth worn bottom left otherwise appears ok, the case is worn showing signs of wear throughout including scuffs, scrapes, fading, staining, splits, losses etc, all commensurate with use and age. Watch ticks when wound.

Impressive and rare 18th century Meissen group of two Freemasons, modelled by or after Kaendler, in the white, the two figures shown studying a globe resting on a plinth, with tools laid in front of them and a pug at their feet, faint crossed swords mark to base, 22.5cm highGood overall condition. Some signs of restoration, including to the tools, the standing figure's forefinger and a corner of his hat, the dog's front paws, and a corner of the column on the ground. Some very minor losses. A firing crack or hairline on the base with tiny associated loss on the back.

A fine antique reconstituted stone garden urn and cover on plinth, with detachable lid, female caryatid handles, floral festoons on socle base, the plinth with figures and acanthus leaves, approximately 200cm high. Purchased by the vendor from a country house sale after the war, from Berechurch Hall, Colchester, before it was demolished.Sound condition with some losses and repairs.
