A pair of Derby porcelain peacocks, second quarter 19th century, with elaborate gilt plumage, perched above three trailing floral garlands on scroll base with gilt highlighting, crossed swords mark to underside, 6¼in. (16cm.) high; together with a German porcelain cornucopia decorated with applied floral garlands, figural swan to lower section, on square plinth, 6in. (15.3cm.) high. (3)
An impressive brass inlaid rosewood musical boardroom clock with triple fusee movement, late 19th century, the gilded brass arched dial with all over floral and foliate engraving, 7 3/8in. silvered chapter ring and silvered Chime/Silent and Cambridge Chimes/Chime on 8 Bells subsidiary dials to the arch, the substantial engine turned movement playing on a nest of eight bells, also chiming the hours on a large gong, within a breakfront case with fluted frieze and gilt brass Corinthian columns, the front inlaid in brass with stylised foliate decoration, spandrels and stars, gilt brass caryatid and foliate grilles to sides, surmounted by a moulded rounded arched cornice and five brass pineapple finials, 28¾in. (73cm) high, on a later shallow mahogany plinth. (2)
A rare Charles II oak bachelor's chest, good original colour and condition, the planked top with separate moulded border, over double vertical panelled sides, panelled back and three twin moulded-panel drawers with brass escutcheons, iron locks with engraved lined decoration and later Georgian brass swan's neck handles, the front to back linings in oak and sliding on runners, the centre drawer deeper, on a moulded shallow plinth and raised on stile feet, 31½ x 20¾in. (80 x 52.75cm.), 28¾in. (73cm.) high.
A George III Sheffield plate tea caddy, octagonal form, decorated with engraved mirror form reserves, four with floral sprays and the front with engraved crest, the foliate decorated cover with seated Chinaman finial, on a stepped plinth base, maker's marks to edge of cover, 5¼in. (13.3cm.) high.
Two 19th century Indian carved ivory paper knives, one with double straight back blade convex blade with foliate carved bolster and elephant on oval plinth finial, 12in. (30.5cm.) long; the second with curved blade bearing a floral urn form bolster with elephant finial, 10¾in. (27.3cm.) long. (2)

A late Victorian oak eight day longcase clock by Maple & Co., with twin train gong strike movement, the matted gilt brass arched dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial at noon and Strike/Silent to arch, signed 'Maple & Co. Ltd. London', with gilt brass scroll spandrels, the case with swan neck pediment over a blind fret frieze, supported on twin gilt brass mounted and stop fluted columns, over a trunk with serpentine arched door and conforming brass mounted pilasters, on a fielded panelled base with wavy plinth, 91½in. (232.5cm.) high.
A Chinese carved hardwood table top display cabinet, early 20th century, in the form of a crescent moon, with side hinged bevelled glass door enclosing an interior with two 'hanging' shelves on pierced gilt brass brackets, a third similar shelf to the exterior with carved and pierced wooden brackets, conforming surmount, on a carved four-toed dragon support to a plinth base with incuse sides, 25¼in. (64cm.) high, 14½in. (37cm.) wide.* Condition: Two teeth missing from dragon's mouth. No other damage to carving. Glass original and in good condition. Some wear and scratching to polish to edges of base and some rubs and scratches to polish on edges elsewhere. Otherwise good condition overall.
A good quality mid-19th century mahogany cupboard bookcase, the stepped moulded cornice over a pair of arched glazed doors enclosing four adjustable shelves with gilt tooled leather skirts, the base with a pair of arched flame mahogany panelled doors, enclosing two shelves, flanked by tablet pilasters, on a plinth base with concealed casters, 44¼ x 19½in. (112.5 x 41.5cm.), 96½in. (245cm.) high.
An Italian late 19th century carved walnut neo-Renaissance style cassone, inverted breakfront form, the moulded top with lappet and egg & dart carved border, the drop-down hinged front flanked by outset drawers, deeply carved in high relief with putti, green man masks, fruiting foliate swags and a central winged lion holding a shield, within arcaded foliate and beaded borders, the sides with grotesque mask faux-ring handles, on a floral and foliate carved outset plinth base, 79½ x 23½in. (202 x 59.75cm.), 22¾in. (57.75cm.) high.
A Chinese bronze Ho-Ho twins figure, representing the figures He and Ho, modelled as one above the other in opposing direction, on green rectangular marble plinth, 4½ x 2¾in. (14 x 6.7cm.).* Condition: Attached to a marble base - an old screw fixing which is screwed into one of the feet of the figure. Some glue to edges of screw to underside to keep secure. Bronze figure has a good patina. Old polishing with some polish residue in places. No damage - minor dings and marks to surface as one would expect.
A Nepalese bronze figure of Ardhanarishvara, depicted in unusual eight armed manifestation with each hand grasping a symbolic trinket, on oval wooden plinth, 10½in. (26.7cm.) high.* Provenance: Purchased at auction in London in the 1970s-80s - lot includes cutting from the London auction catalogue featuring the lot.

The unusual handle pattern utilised by Seddon on the lot offered here is seen on bedroom furniture supplied by Morel and Seddon to George IV for Windsor Castle. These include a mahogany chest of drawers circa 1828 (RCIN 21707), see H.Roberts, For the Kings Pleasure, The Furnishing and Decoration of George IV's Apartments at Windsor Castle, London 2001, p.284, pl.361, on an elm and giltwood secretaire, now in a private collection and on a further rosewood secretaire (RCIN 90169), see H.Roberts, ibid., p.317, fig 398, and p.327, fig 409. An unidentified cabinet from Windsor Castle with this handle pattern was sold Phillips London, 22 April 1986, lot 73. The firm of George Seddon existed in various manifestations between 1753 and 1868 and was one of London's leading furniture producers in the later part of the 18th century. T & G Seddon were Thomas Seddon II and George Seddon III, nephews of the original George Seddon and received a Royal Warrant in 1832.
A George I walnut, sycamore and ebony foliate marquetry chest The rectangular moulded top with central oval panel of scrolling acanthus, flowerheads, ho-ho birds and mythological beasts within similar inlay to each corner, above two short and three long graduated inlaid drawers, the sides with marquetry panels of flowers and griffins, on a moulded plinth base and turned bun feet, 100cm wide, 57cm deep, 92cm high.
A Victorian burr walnut pedestal desk by T.H.Filmer & Sons The rectangular moulded top with later black leather and gilt writing surface above a frieze drawer flanked by four short graduated drawers and a plinth base, with castors, with brass label to interior of drawer 'T.H.FILMER & SONS, CABINET UPHOLSTERY, BEDDING & CARPET MANUFACTORY, 28,32 & 34 BERNER'S ST OXFORD ST, LONDON W.' 121cm wide, 67cm deep, 76cm high. Thomas Henry Filmer is first listed as a cabinet-maker, upholsterer and appraiser at 34 Berner's Street, London in 1835 (see C.Glibert and Geoffrey Beard, Dictionary of English Furniture Makers 1660-1840, London, 1986, p.299). See also Gilbert, Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, London, 1996, p.28 & p.206, fig.351 which illustrates a teapoy by Filmer now in the collection of the V&A.
A pair of 20th century marbleised parcel gilt and mirrored glass lamps by John Fowler for Colefax and Fowler with two other pink marble and gilt bronze mounted lamps The pair with marbleised and parcel gilt tapered columns on mirror glass plinth bases with lotus carved mouldings, the marble examples with Corinthian capitals and stepped bases, the pair 47cms high. (4) Provenance:The pair of lamps supplied by John Fowler of Colefax and Fowler to Lord and Lady Rothermere for Daylesford House, Gloucestershire.
A George IV gilt bronze lamp base in the form of the figure of Atlas The figure supporting a globe with a chapter ring, surmounted by a lamp fitting, now converted to electricity, on a panelled plinth with canted angles applied with satyr mask heads, on a stepped base with projecting corners decorated with lotus scrolls and rosettes, 56cm high.
An early 19th century Swedish giltwood and grey painted console table and en suite mirror, attributed to Pehr Gustaf Bylander The rectangular plate surmounted by a spread eagle and acanthus leaf carved cavetto moulded cornice, flanked by turned paterae carved columns, the table with a rectangular white and grey veined marble inset top above a stiff leaf and paterae carved frieze, on scrolling dolphin supports, with applied sunburst to the rear panel, on a simulated portor marble plinth base, 79cm wide, 66cm deep, 269cm high. Pehr Gustav Bylander was active in Gothenburg from 1804 to 1859 and was one of Sweden's most well known and successful mirror manufacturers. He supplied mirrors with console tables to many great houses in Southern and Western Sweden, including Skottorp, Sperlingsholm and Stjernsund. The Nordislea Museum in Stockholm has several examples of his work.Similar examples of Bylander's work are illustrated in Neoclassicism in the North, Swedish Furniture and Interiors 1770-1850 p.162,(ill.168), p.207 (ill.9) and specifically p. 175, where a pair of mirrors with similar eagles and carved columns can be seen illustrated in Skottorp. Skottorp was built for the Royal Secretary Frans Örnestedt, it was bought by his descendant, the Commercial Councillor Peter Möller in 1813. See Christies South Kensington, Style & Spirit, 4 February 2014, lot 33 for a very similar example by Bylander with eagle cresting and dolphin supports to the base, see also Bonhams, London 25 June 2008, lot 95 for a pier glass and console with similar sunburst. Further related examples by Bylander include a pier mirror and console table en suite featuring similar dolphin supports and thyrsus attributes, sold Christie's, London, 28 March 2006, lot 137 a pair of pier mirrors without the consoles, attributed to Bylander sold anonymously Christie's London, 12 September 2007, lot 219.
A Victorian hall marked silver 2nd West York Yeomanry Officer's pouch belt desk ornament, composed of a silver pouch plate marked to the 2nd WEST YORK YEOMANRY, with crowned VR cypher and applied with the Prince of Wales' feathers and the legend ICH DIEN, mounted on an oak plinth with green baize base.
