A late Victorian gilt bronze ebonised and walnut inlaid side cabinet, the brass three-quarter gallery over a central cupboard inset with a porcelain plaque depicting a young man playing a violin to a girl, flanked with glazed and mirror cupboards over two drawers, a mirrored back with an inverted shelf and plinth, raised on bun feet, 107.5cm wide 57cm deep 136cm high CONDITION REPORT: Wear to tops, finish polished to the ornate work, loss to top of door, scuffing to the edges, crack to undertier, veneer loss to areas of burr walnut. A Beautiful 15th Century Spanish Polychrome & Gilt Carving of The Immaculate Virgin depicted standing in contrapose with her eyes lowered, her loose hair flowing in waves around her shoulders, and wearing a draped mantle and dress with gilded embellishments, on a later moulded polygonal plinth, 40 ins (102 cms) in height.
Five Flemish Gothic Pierced Oak Fragment Panels finely carved with undulating stems of fruiting foliage. To include; a pair of cabinet doors with intricate pierced rebates backed in red cloth and framed by moulded borders, 14 ins x 13½ ins (36 cms x 34.5 cms), a pair of plinth rails with ogee cut bases, also with red cloth backing 4¾ ins x 13½ ins (12 cms x 34 cms), and a single open carved panel; 15 ins x 4¾ ins (38 cms x 12 cms).
A 17th Century Venetian Carved & Polychromed Door Surround, Circa 1690. The pediment emblazoned with a Heraldic crest flanked by bold scrolls of foliage above a break-front lintel. The marblised column supports embellished with bands of gilded foliage and raised on decorative plinth bases, 97 ins (127 cms) overall in height, 68½ ins (174 cms) overall in width.
A 19th Century French brass gorge cased carriage clock, the movement by Pierre and Alfred Drocourt of Paris, with alarm, No'd. verso "14407", the base with circular enamelled dial and Roman numerals over a subsidiary alarm dial with Arabic numerals, all raised on an ogee plinth base to bracket feet, 18 cm high including handle, housed in a leather covered outer travel case CONDITION REPORTS Outer carrying case is very scuffed, worn and faded, and has some damage and losses and strap is broken. Clock has wear, dirt and tarnish, glass appears OK, appears to have some slight mis-shaping to hands, but overall appearance and condition seems to be reasonably good. It is not known whether clock is in full working order.
A 19th century lacquered brass gorge cased carriage clock by George Moore of London, the movement with alarm and repeat, No'd. 6370, striking on a bell, visible escapement, the face with circular enamelled dial with Arabic and Roman numerals over a subsidiary alarm dial with Arabic numerals, the case with all-over foliate and swag engraved decoration, the rear door with five peep hole key apertures, the inner plate inscribed "Geo Moore 21 St. John's Square London", raised on an ogee plinth base to bracket feet, 17 cm high including handle CONDITION REPORTS Overall with general wear and scuffs, glass appears OK, overall condition appears reasonably good, although it is not known whether clock is in full working order.
A Victorian walnut side cabinet, the plain top with recessed centre section over adjustable shelving flanked by two glazed cabinet doors on a plinth base, 182 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Overall with general wear and scuffs. Some splits and cracks to veneers, particularly from each of the corners of the glazed doors. Plus some further splits to cornice, doors, top, etc. Various wear and chips. Some dirt and wear to the fabric lined shelves within the cupboards. Overall however, there appears to be good colouring and good figuring and generally appears to be a tidy piece. Height approx 104cm. Depth approx 35cm.
