Leslie Gordon Durbin: A Silver Bowl, 1978, lightly hammered finish, London 1978, 21.5cm diameter, 24oz, on a green veined mable plinth bearing inscription "12th April 1978 Presented to The Right Honourable Lord Plowden, K.C.B., K.B.E. by his colleagues on the Board of Commercial Union Assurance Company Limited on his retirement after 32 years valued service" *Leslie Gordon Durbin died in 2005. His work is held in Goldsmiths Hall.
An Edwardian Mintons Porcelain pedestal urn and cover, the tall slender body decorated with enamelled puce rose garland between banded gilt borders, applied with high stepped angular loop handles and dome top cover, 11.25” high; another example printed and painted with rose and forget-me-not garlands, within cobalt and gilt borders in stepped plinth base, cover damaged, 10” high.(2).
