A large and impressive 19th century Japanese gilt bronze incense burner decorated over all in traditional style with exotic birds, dragons and foliage in relief and having an eagle surmount to the lid and two mounted scrolled dragons as handles, in two sections on a shallow circular plinth base (approx 65cms high, as viewed, some damage).
After Benvenuto Cellini - a 19th century bronze figure of Perseus holding aloft the head of Medusa with one foot on the corpse. mounted on a square bronze plinth with classical figures set within four alcoves and decorated with ram`s heads and masks in relief with caryatids to the four corners (as viewed, one alcove figure missing. Statue approx 60cms, plinth approx 30cms).
A late Victorian silver trophy cup with engraved scrolling foliage and raised on a slender tapering stem with beaded knop and beaded rim to the base, bearing the inscription "Presented by Tradesmen of Holywood for the Grand Aggregate in The Kings (Liverpool Regiment) Rifle Meeting 1898. A large reproduction 19th century style console clock, the mahogany finish case with floral marquetry effect and decorated overall with elaborate gilt metal mounts including caryatids, garlands, vases, masks etc., surmounted by a seated female warrior and raised on four horses on a shaped plinth base, the whole raised on a similarly decorated serpentine top console table with four scrolled serpentine supports. The eight day striking movement with gilt metal dial and porcelain tablets with painted Roman numerals (clock 105cms high, table 95cms high).
