A large 19th century mahogany partners' pedestal desk, containing an arrangement of nine short drawers to the front and drawers and cupboards to the reverse, on a plinth base, stamped M. Willson, 68 Great Queen Street, London, to the drawer, 182cm. Thomas Willson is recorded as the proprietor of a firm of auctioneers and appraisers established in 1799 at this address, which continued until 1854. Other examples of furniture made from between circa 1780 to 1840 are known to carry this stamp.

A Chinese cast metal figure of a stylised dragon raised on an associated shaped wooden base, length 33cm, and a similar smaller example, length 33cm (2).Additional InformationThe figure on the plinth has a split running through the body showing the join molds between the two sections also has green pitting and a rough finish throughout. The stand is a very close match for the figure but it doesn't quite sit flush within. There a few misshapen areas to the second figure to the raised points, mainly the claws and tip of tail and general surface wear to both.
