Windmills of London - 18th century walnut longcase clock, having arched brass dial, w.13", with silvered date dial within dolphin mounts, signed to the silvered chapter ring, within cast gilt brass cherub mask spandrels and having Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, matted centre, and three winding holes, for an eight day weight driven five pillar musical movement striking on seven bells, the case having arched panelled door with feather banding to a further cross and feather banded boxbase, on later plinth, h.233cm Condition Report / Extra Information With weights, pendulum and crank key.Case clean and lightly polished, with minor age wear only.Fine vertical split to box base.Case with new backboard.Backplate with some filled holes.Dial and movement appear all original.Chapter ring probably re-silvered.Numbers all repainted.Case and dial all fit together well.In summary, in good restored condition.
