London 1834, of campana panelled form, decorated with repoussé foliate swags, the circular foot raised on a square plinth, friction fitting removable pierced bun top, gilt washed interior, 9cm high, 3oztPaul Storr was England's most celebrated silversmith during the first half of the nineteenth century. His pieces historically and currently adorn Royal palaces and the finest stately homes throughout Europe and the world. His reputation was based on his mastery of the Neo-Classical style developed in the Regency period, and he made much of the silver purchased by King George III and King George IV.
