A number of his statues are in public museums in Edinburgh, as well as various public commissions in Edinburgh and Glasgow. He has also undertaken many portraits including of HRH Duke of Edinburgh, Lord Sutherland, Cardinal Gordon Gray, the poet laureate for Scotland Liz Lochhead, and other notable figures, several of which are in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. Much of his work over the years has been sold through the Open Eye Gallery (Edinburgh) and Cyril Gerber Fine Art (Glasgow).
A Pair of Limed Oak Columns. The square section supports having scrolled capitals above gadrooned knops tapering down to carved lion masks bearing rings in their mouths looped with drapery and floral pendants, raised on moulded plinth bases 76½ ins (194 cms) in height, 10½ ins (27 cms) square.
A French 16th Century & Later Gothic Coffer. The facade enriched with tracery in four panels flanking a small central armorial panel emblazoned with a crowned shield of three fleur-de-lis below the iron lockplate. The panels divided with crocketted spire pilasters. The twin panel sides carved with linenfold. Standing on a plinth base incorporating a rail of quatrefoils, 39½ ins (100 cms) high, 65 ins (165 cms) in length, 26 ins (66 cms) in width.
A Very Rare & Important Ancient Near East Hollow Copper Casting of a Standing Quadruped, 3rd-2nd Millennium BC. The animal 4 ins (10 cms) high and 6½ ins (16.5 cms) in length, now standing on a ebony plinth. Accompanied by a metallurgical report by Dr Peter Northover of Oxford University. AN EBONISED AND CHINOISERIE DECORATED PEDESTAL DESK, late 19th century, of serpentine outline, the shaped lacquer top decorated with figures, pagodas and islands within a trellis border, above one long frieze drawer flanked by three short drawers to each side, on plinth and squared feet. 80cm high x 122.5cm wide x 59.5cm deep; together with a Chinoiserie decorated side chair.
