A Royal Doulton Lambeth Armchair Toby- Simeon, cocked hat and feet on plinth 15cm in height. Impressed marks. Note; from an extensive private collection of Royal Doulton. The vast majority of items are free from any damage or restoration, and are in great condition. Buyers are reminded for the need to satisfy themselves as to condition of individual lots prior to bidding as condition on some, will vary.
An 18th century carved wood pedestal of entwined dolphin, cherub and scroll design, supporting a shaped rectangular top, on a conforming plinth base 73 x 77 x 47cm (28 x 30 x 18in) Evidence of old paint and one loose section of moulding, which is present. It appears to have been housed in a summerhouse or outbuilding, judging from the overall weathered condition.
An attractive and fine quality Victorian kingswood and satinwood two door Vitrine, the arch top with egg and dart moulded ormolu border with large central floral painted plaque, over two arched and shaped glazed front doors and sides with ormolu mounts, flanked by figural mask, on a heavy plinth base with attractive ormolu decoration, approx. 185cms (73") high x 114cms (45") wide.(1)Provenance: Private Northern Irish Collection.
A pair of fine quality late 19th Century walnut and ebonised Side Cabinets, in the manner of Lamb of Manchester, the shaped tops with inlaid decoration and brass beaded border, over arched panelled and similarly decorated doors, flanked by turned and brass mounted columns on shaped plinth bases, approx. 107cms (42") high x 86cms (34") wide. A rare Georgian Northern Irish Provincial carved oak cased Grandfather Clock, the swan neck pediment with rosette mounts and a central shell with eagle surmounted, over a brass square dial signed "George Pilkington, Tynan," (County Armagh), panel door on plinth base, approx. 251cms (95") high. (1)
An exceptional Gothic Revival oak Centre Table, attributed to A.W.N. Pugin, the plain pitch pine octagonal moulded top over a typical Pugin frame, supported with a square fluted central pillar, conjoined with four arched supports, with shaped outstretched arms, on a plinth base with concave stretchers, approx. 137cms (54") wide, 74cms (29") high. A very good quality Victorian Credenza, the shaped walnut top with satinwood crossbanding and moulded ebonised edge, over a frieze with ormolu mounted floral painted porcelain insets, the central panel door with large oval porcelain inset depicting an elegant lady, flanked by glazed demi lune doors, on a plinth base with turned legs, approx. 104cms (41") high x 47cms (58") wide. A 19th Century carved light oak Bookcase, the cornice and carved frieze over two glazed doors, flanked by two carved figures over a base with two frieze drawers with dogs head handles, and two panel doors carved with oval panels of animal still life, with panel sides, plinth base and ball feet, 213cms (84") x 143cms (56 1/2") wide. A very large and unusual Parian Bowl, the pierced lid/cover with figures surmounted the pierced oval vine branch handles decorated with vines, leaves and branches and heads of Bacchus, and with the body profusely decorated with figures merrymaking, the plinth with intertwined vine branches and leaves, approx. 42cms (16 1/2") high.
