After Frederic Remington (American, 1861-1909), a black patinated bronze model of an Indian on horseback, late 20th century, inscribed FREDERIC REMINGTON to the maquette and with further inscription for *1980 MUSEUM COLLECTIONS INC J. DILOREN 26/1000, and stamped RAF, mounted to a stepped rectangular section pine plinth, overall height 47cm Condition Report: Minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age. The patina is a matte-ish dark brown.The spear is loose and needs to be manually attached, could possibly be fastened.The other spear is a little bent, as are the reins.There is radial movement between the bronze and the base.The bronze is a relatively recent cast, and as such has little wear.Condition Report Disclaimer
A Victorian ebonised cabinet bookcase, late 19th century, 242cm high, 146cm wide, 41cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, some scratches going through the ebonised finish and revealing the underlying timber, the is is especially to the plinth base. The plinth base with some looseness to the moulded edge - this is catching on one door and preventing it from opening. This may simply be due to an uneven floor at Donnington but Dreweatts cannot guarantee this - it may need some attention prior to use in a domestic setting. The bronzed finish is a little scuffed to the extremities, and there are two or three shallow and small chips to the arms exposing the terracotta underneath.No identifying marks/signatures have been detected.
