12th (Prince of Wales Royal) Lancers lance cap circa 1882-1905. A good example of black patent leather body, peak and crown top with ornate brass foliage bosses to each corner, red cloth upper. Triangular fluted plate bearing Prince of Wales plumes over Royal Arms above Sphinx on Egypt plinth flanked by SOUTH AFRICA 1851.2.3 and CENTRAL INDIA scrolls; across the base a tri-part scroll PENINSULA SEVASTOPOL WATERLOO. Lion head bosses to each side support a brass chin chain. Woollen blue on yellow boss with regimental Victorian button supports a scarlet horsehair plume in its brass holder. Made by Avarte in Finland, it quickly become an icon of design and epitomised the Swinging Sixties.As legend has it, Kukkapuro came up with the design for the chair after falling asleep in the snow. A French Rococo Revival gilt-bronze mantel clock, second half 19th century, the case with floral swags and scrolling foliage on integral plinth base, the gilt dial with enamel numeral plaques, the dial signed Laine a Paris, the eight day movement striking a bell on the hour and half hour, the backplate stamped M. J415 and signed LAINE A PARIS, with pendulum and winder, 34cm high, 21.5cm wide Please note that Roseberys do not guarantee working order or time keeping of any automatic, mechanical, quartz or other timepiece offered for sale.The case with minor wear to include scratches and rubbing to gilt. There is tarnishing and some dents to reverse door and the hinge is slightly loose. There is pitting and scratches to backplate and tarnishing and scratches to bell. Some of the foliate mounts are slightly loose. There is a small chip to the bezel and the hinge to front door is slightly loose.

A pair of Meissen porcelain figural sweetmeat baskets, late 19th century, blue crossed swords marks, incised numerals, black 43. marks, modelled as a young man and a young woman reclining by large oval pierced baskets, on plinth bases edged with pink, gilt and turquoise moulded scrolls, 29cm wide (2)Provenance: Works of Art from the Schroder Collection. The handles are lacking from the basket which is held by the man, and one handle is lacking from the basket held by the woman. There is some minute chipping to the flower and foliate terminals of the handles, but this is very minor indeed. In addition, there is some minute chipping to the edge of the footrim of both figures – this is also very minor.
A pine blanket box or stool, with a blue upholstered cushion seat, on box lid, on a plinth, terminating in castors, 33cm high, 92cm wide, 46cm deep. The upholstery in this lot does not comply with the 1988 (Fire & Fire Furnishing) Regulations, unless sold to a known exporter or upholsterer it will be cut from the frame before leaving the premises.
