A PAIR OF CHINESE BRONZE LION TEMPLE GUARDIANS CIRCA 1920 45cm high, 32cm wide, 21cm deep Condition Report: These are in generally good condition- some small build up of engrained surface dirt and Verdigris to recessed areas and around feet on plinth.- mild wear to foot rim. Handling/dusting has led to slightly paler patination to raised edges- points such as ears.Small black paint touching in to area where patina has been knocked to left of one figure. Victorian walnut chest of drawers, the top with moulded edge, two short and two long graduating drawers, plinth base, width 108cm, depth 52cm, height 82cm.Condition report:The lower drawer has splits to the right hand panel of the lining, but it appears stable enough to use. That particular drawer doesn't open very smoothly. The middle drawer is clearly lacking any pulls/ handles so proves difficult to open with them but it does slide open/ close quite freely. The two short drawers and middle drawer lining are structurally ok, some light staining to the interior. Some veneer loss to the middle drawer. Colour variation on the middle drawer to the rest of the chest. Old marks, scuffs and notches through use.
An oak three section Globe Wernicke sectional bookcase, plinth base, width 87cm, depth 32cm, height 111cm.Condition report:There is a split to the front left of the top surface. The top also has patches of fading on the left and right hand sides. One of the metal brackets on the right hand side is coming away from the body. The door mechanisms all work ok, Some dark staining to some of the sides. Generally good, functional, and tidy.
Victorian oak twin pedestal desk, the top with leather inset, brass presentation plaque, nine drawers, plinth base, width 140cm, depth 80cm, height 72cm.Condition report:It is a little tired all over. The top veneer is missing some patches and where it remains it looks to be lifting and/or very thin. The leather insets are in a fair condition, some shadows, but ok. The back is finished but the colour is pretty flat. The overall colour and finish is patchy to the drawer fronts and pedestal. There is a cluster of small holes (screw bore size, not worm) to the left hand pedestal towards the base. Some additional compartment divisions have been put into the central frieze drawer. The drawers are all ok, a little dry when opening them but the linings are sound (if not a little stained). Two of the drawers are missing their ring pulls and they have been broken off so it is not a case of just finding replacement rings (see additional image)
Early Victorian mahogany chiffonier, the upper shelf with acanthus scroll supports, the base with two panelled doors, plinth base, width 81cm, depth 33cm, height 123cm.Condition report:Structurally sound, no evidence of worm, no significant splits or heavy staining. The base has veneer loss to the lefthand side (almost half of the veneer is missing) and front right hand corner. Also some veneer loss to the right hand corner edge of the top, and there is a reglued patch of veneer on the front left corner of the top. A notch just above where the doors meet. The upper shelf and structure all looks original. The interior has had the two vertical dividers added as the shelves are adjustable and there are peg holes extending below the height of the dividers.

Dissembles into cornice, the body splits into two sections, and base section.
Art Deco alabaster desk lamp and compendium, the gilt metal banker’s-style lamp on a wide alabaster plinth base with twin alabaster inkwells with removable liners, and pen recesses, partial maker’s label, width 37cm, height 25cm.Condition report:Thee is some loss of gilding to the metal. The inkwells have been moved in the past. The central piece between the inkwells is missing. There are some nibbles to edges. There is no plug. Please see additional uploaded images.
A collection of ceramic figurines. Including a boxed Lladro 'Springtime in Japan' figure, Lladro figures of swans, Coalport 'Visiting Day', Nao lamp base, etc. Condition Report: 'Visiting Day' - there is a small area that feels rough to the touch, at the back, on her petty coat that might be damage. The rest at the time of writing appear in good condition, no chips or cracks. A mirrored plinth for the swan has damage to the wooden edge.

30th Dynasty, 380-343 B.C. Modelled mummiform, hands crossed in front of chest holding pick and hoe, seed bag over shoulder, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, T-shaped arrangement of hieroglyphic inscription to the midriff and lower body; plinth base and plain back pillar to reverse. Cf. Schneider, H.D., Shabtis. An Introduction to the History of Ancient Egyptian Funerary Statuettes with a Catalogue of the Collection of Shabtis in the National Museum of Antiquities at Leiden, 3 Volumes, Leiden, 1977, Vol. 2, p.211 (no. 5.3.2.25) and Vol. 3, p.76, for another shabti of Ka-nefer.78 grams, 12.2 cm high (4 3/4 in.). Private collection, New York, USA, early 1980s. The inscription informs us that Ka-nefer was a wener- priest and scribe of Ptah. His mother's name is Isit-reshuty. He was buried at Saqqara.

Modelled mummiform with arms crossed over the chest, holding pick and hoe, a column of hieroglyphs with owner and mother's names running vertically down the front of the body, standing on a plinth with blank pillar to reverse; mounted on a wooden display base. Cf. The Metropolitan Museum, New York, accession number 03.6.3, for a comparable shabti of this period.123 grams total, 13 cm high including stand (5 1/8 in.). Gifted by Herbert Parsons (1870-1940) to his grandson, James Gibson (1926-2013). Inherited by the vendor and her brother, from their grandfather James Gibson. The owner of this shabti (name unclear) was a Hem-Ka priest of Osiris. [No Reserve]
