There is wear on the bronze. The marble base has small chips to the corners and some on the sides of the marble plinth base. AFTER AUGUSTINE PAJOU (1730-1809) "The Medici Lion", study of a lion his right paw raised on a sphere in white marble CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches and scuffs, accretions, etc. The lion has repairs to one of the front paws, to both hind legs and the tail, all have been glued. There is a chip to the tail at the back and a slight fracture. The plinth base shows numerous substantial cracks and old repairs. Also a large chip. General wear and tear. See photos for details. Height 18cm length 21cm width 9cm approx.
Early 20th Indian ivory carving of Kali wearing a necklace of skulls standing on a figure of Shiva, with steil back, plinth base, 10.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Early 20th or late 19th Century ivory carving. All appears in good condition but the pegging is slightly loose, one small crack above the back left foot of the stand.
