19th Century French black slate and ormolu drum form pillar clock, the enamel dial with Roman numerals inscribed Hry. Marc, Paris, with a two train movement striking on a bell CONDITION REPORT Has no pendulum, bell has been screwed into position too tight and needs some work to remove it. Some small chips to edge of slate plinth and two hairline cracks to the dial (see photos)
19th Century mahogany bookcase, the moulded cornice above two astragal glazed doors flanked by fluted columns, the base with two satinwood crossbanded panelled doors on a plinth base CONDITION REPORT Back of top section is broken and not restored. Doors are smooth and working. Join in frieze below the moulded top. Loss of veneer to plinth base. Some marks and scuffs to colouring etc. Needs some restoration before use. 19th Century French Empire gilt and dark patinated bronze mantel clock, with a female figure head surmount above a tapering body, raised on claw feet on a rectangular plinth base mounted with eagles, the enamel dial with Arabic and Roman numerals inscribed Vaillant a Paris, the two train movement striking on a bell CONDITION REPORT Overall in good condition.I believe case has been cleaned at some point with some light cleaning to gilding, which appears to have been lacquered.Chip to enamel dial near winding hole, hand glued in position for a reason I cannot quite see but I expect it will need repairing or replacing.There appears to be no fixings for the glass cover to the back and movement is working but needs a clean.There is no signature beneath the bell.This is a private consignment.In my opinion I believe it not to have been changed, I can't see any alterations or marks to give evidence of replacement.17.25ins high x 8.5ins wide x 6ins deep
