Smith, York, above a rectangular arched door and plinth base, a winder, two lead weights and a pendulum, height 203cm, width 45cm. The model is supported on a polished mahogany plinth with moulded edge and is finished in traditional green and red paintwork. Plinth 36cm x 20cm. Overall height 28cm.

Fitted water pump and condenser with unusual drainage system for cylinders. The model is mounted on a wooden block plinth and comes together with a glazed display case 42cm x 30cm. Height 38cm.This model has been run on live steam.

An exhibition quality 1 inch scale model of a live steam Sanderson Beam Engine Glasgow circa 1846, built by Mr D R Carter of Minehead Somerset. and being of 12 horse power design with single cylinder 2 ½ inch stroke x â…ž inch bore and having outside steam valve linked to eccentric on the open crank and fitted speed governor with bevel gears and shut off valve, single spoked flywheel 9 ¾ inch diameter. The model finished in terracotta and blue paintwork and mounted on pine display plinth with aluminium edge 51cm x 31cm. Total height 35cm.
