Webster, Shrewsbury’, cross-banded in mahogany, the hood with a broken swan-neck pediment, enclosing a 13” arched, painted dial, only ‘shadow’ of maker’s name evident, with floral painted arch and spandrels, a subsidiary dial for seconds and date aperture, the 8-day movement with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, some damage, with pendulum and two weights (6)Condition report: Chips, including return mouldings of hood. Dents and scratches consistent with age and use. Dial – lettering worn. Not operational in vendor’s home. Base lacking plinth and section of left side of base damaged – 11cm x 2cm. Front panel of base cracked from top to bottom and chipped cross-banding, including missing a 2cm section.

A Victorian slate mantel clock, the enamelled and gilt chapter ring set with Roman numerals, enclosing a movement striking on a bell, the circular top on a scrolled base with glass circular panel, on a plinth base with roundel, 40 x 46 x 14cm. CONDITION REPORT Overall good condition, there is a pendulum and a winding key within the case for this clock, although the lower open aperture appears to be lacking a cover.
Butler of Bolton; a 19th century mahogany eight-day longcase clock, the painted dial with rolling moon phase, Roman and Arabic numerals and two subsidiary dials, the case inlaid with satinwood stringing, conch shell inlays and further herringbone inlay, above an arched door and raised on plinth to bracket feet, height approx 254cm (af). CONDITION REPORT The right hand side of the hood, just above the reeded pilaster has a piece of veneer missing and a piece of the stringing hanging loose. Further splits to the veneer around the door and the arch of the hood. The right hand side trim for the the clock body is detached but present, the right hand side of the hood trim is missing. There is further staining and fading to the plinth section of the case, a scratch to the lower portion of the door and over spray of paint to the left hand side of the case. The backboard is showing some signs of old worm damage, resulting in a split to the lower part of the case.
Blaylock & Dudson of Carlisle; a Victorian eight-day longcase clock with broken swan neck pediment above arched painted dial with various church ruins and hunting scene to the arched section, the chapter ring set with Roman numerals and two subsidiary dials above a crossbanded door flanked by turned pilasters, raised on bracket feet, height 222cm. CONDITION REPORT The case is in overall good condition, although the lower section of the plinth has splits to the front and sides and very minor signs of old worm damage to the right hand side of the case. The hood has a split on the right hand side. The case door has a further split, the left hand side of the hood also has a split. The left hand section of the broken swan neck pediment has a crack and is a little bit loose. There are splits to the veneer in several areas, scuffing to the bottom of the hood door and the section where the door opens. The back legs of the case are missing. With two weights, pendulum, crank handle and a key for the body.
William Jackson Southwark; a 19th century mahogany longcase clock, with broken swan neck pediment enclosing a brass ball with hoo hoo bird above a raised gilded base, the face with maker's name and flying putti, the silvered dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals above an arched door and fluted pillars, height approx 212cm. CONDITION REPORT The broken swan neck pediment has a piece of trim missing from the left arm. There are further splits to the hood. The very top section where it has been carved roughly, there are gaps and splits to this portion. The pliasters either side of the hood door are lacking a brass trim on the upper right section. There is an arched cutaway on both sides of the hood, one has a glass cover, the other one is just open. There are further splits and losses to the hood. The face is potentially a replacement, as there does not appear to be anything behind the central winding hole. There is a date aperture ring present, but it has dropped slightly behind the movement, so maybe it is a window or an open aperture for viewing the date, as opposed to a winding hole. The subsidiary dial hand is missing. The silvered chapter ring is heavily worn and scratched throughout. The actual body of the clock appears to be in fairly good order. There is a slight surface split to the upper portion of the door, but it is not significant. The plinth base has a slight piece of veneer missing on the upper right shoulder and a further split to the lower right corner. Further slight wear to the surface throughout the clock body. The main plinth panel has a horizontal split near the top and a further split lower down. There are further scuffs to the bracket base. There is a non-matching pair of weights present, and a pendulum. The body has a key, but there is no winding key.
A 1940s oak-cased grandmother clock, the silvered dial set with Arabic numerals above simple applied carved decoration and beaded moulding, height 135cm, raised on a plinth to block feet, with Greek Key decoration, (af). CONDITION REPORT The plinth base is separate from the longcase body and has minor scuffs and scrapes and light surface wear throughout. The top has a very small section of veneer missing and there are further splits to the veneer.
A retro 1960s style glazed teak sideboard, the upper section comprising a pair of smoked glazed doors and a further single glazed door above a fall-front cocktail cabinet alongside a single panelled cupboard, above open shelf and three further doors, to plinth base, 178 x 137 x 46cm, a matching sideboard, the upper section with pair of glazed doors above pair of panelled doors and open shelf with three full-length drawers raised on a plinth base, 178 x 91 x 46cm, and a further matching low two-door TV stand, 57 x 92 x 46cm (3).

Tarnishing and dust to metal work, wear and rubbing. A small gap/hole to the metal mount beside the acanthus motif to one corner. Later adapted for electricity and wiring fitted and drilled through. Wiring will need to be reorganised and PAT tested. The mount and collar to the top are later.
A GEORGE III OAK LONGCASE CLOCKThe painted arched 12in dial with date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial, signed 'CHRISTMAS YARMOUTH', with a twin-train movement striking on a bell, with two weights, pendulum and winding key, overall height 208cmCondition report: Case: Case repolished at some point recently, however please note the following apparent issues: The case:Some old worm to the hood. The scroll pediment is loose. The brass spheres maybe not be original. The right hand moulding below the hood on the trunk needs repositioning. Crack just above the right hand side of the trunk door. Slight warp to the door, which effects the upper half of the trunk door. Both side panels on the plinth are split. Various scuffs and marks commensurate with use and age. The movement: The movement may not be original to case. However, the dial is attractively painted with the original surface. Some in painting to the centre. The movement has been cleaned fairly recently but will require a some work to the pendulum suspension block which is bent and has previously been replaced. We are unable to guarantee that the movement is in working order or complete, however, there appears to be no missing parts. 2 lead weights, winding key, key and pendulum.

However, please not the following obvious issues: The hood with some cracking and replacement to the blind fret spandrels of the hood, some side splitting and movement to the sides Traces of old worm holes to the hood and trunk. Worm damage to the lower moulding of the hood which is now split apart on the left side and requires restoration. Later screws to secure glass door hinges. Brass mounts to the bases of the fluted side columns are loose.Some replacement and repair to detail moulding on the trunk, below hood. Slight warp to the door towards the bottom. An areas of filler Just below the key escutcheon, possibly from a previous catch for the door. Gauge to left hand side on canted flutes, approx 5 inches below lock. Both sides with split panels to the side of the plinth, left side with some repair and infill. Bracket feet are replaced. Marks, knocks, scratches and scuffs commensurate with age and use. The movement: The movement may not be original to case. The dial is dirty. Hands are not original. Movement appears complete, but is dirty and requires a full service.
