CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2234 - The rectangular right hand pedestal with four drawers, the three quarter gallery left hand side, requires refixing at angled joint, hinges to drawer constraints good condition, restoration above the hinged fall front replaed timber with would have attached to the hinges measures 72x5cms, some scratching and damage to left hand angle of replaced green and gilt tooled leather to fall, interior showing sign of a stress crack running left to right 41cms, leather on the right with green tooling, two ring marks, right hand leather similar, gilt bright, crack to the rectangular top left hand side measures 35cms, top left hand short drawer shrinkage crack to the drawer runner showing daylight, ink stains to the bottom left drawer, right hand drawer shrinkage cracks to drawer liners, ink stain to all, generally repolished, the back behind the spindle gallery requires refixing, surface scratching to the plinths.

An early 19th Century inlaid mahogany bowfront chest of drawers With a crossbanded border above a well figured frieze, two short and three long graduated cockbeaded drawers each with later oval brass handles, moulded plinth base and compress bun feet. 105.5x108x55.5cms CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2275 The bowfront top, good rich colour some minor surface scratching, very minor dents to the surface polish, stringing good condition, crossbanded border good condition, the top separates from the bottom, divided approx 45.5cms from the top, therefore the chest is in two separate sections, the top will lift up from the lower half, colour and polish to left and right hand sides good condition, the front good colour, cockbeading to drawers in good condition, oval handles good quality but later additions, pine board back original minor gap between the top board and the bottom board, the supports are now compressed bun feet which may have been replaced, but old.

A George lll mahogany serpentine fitted knife box With a sloping lid later inlaid with a stained oval and a conch shell, fitted interior for cutlery raised upon a serpentine plinth with restorations. 35.5x23x28cms. CONDITION REPORT: Extensively restored, the hinged cover repolished, the oval with conch shell later inset, repairs to the outer edge, stringing to right hand side possibly replaced and left hand side, restoration to the edge of the right hand side of the serpentine rim 1cm deep x 5cms. The interior of the hinged cover has an inset star shape motif restored, possibly inset later, movement to the hinges possibly replaced, the timber has been restored, the back re-varnished, pieces of veneer above and beneath the right hand hinge as been restored and replaced measures approx. 6x6cms triangular, pieces of veneer inset below the left hand hinge, running varnish overall, replaced escutcheon with no key hole aperture, knife centre apertures possibly replaced.

(illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2129 The ebonised case, some scratching and rubbing to the angles on the rectangular stepped plinth beneath the bell shape top, brass urn finials old but possibly replaced, the glass to glazed front door possibly replaced, red backing material behind spandrels replaced, top hinge has been re fixed and a piece of ebonised wood has been inset to the left of the hinge. Some scratching overall to the ebonised case. The movement, please note should read verge escapement. Replaced hammer, pendulum possibly later. Movement working, red velvet panels replaced behind fret work. With winding key front and back door keys.

A Victorian Emu egg centre piece With a brass ball finial above an oval engraved with a Kangaroo raised upon a leafy stepped roundel shaft and an ebonised plinth, 21cms. CONDITION REPORT: The metal is brass, infilled old polish, bends to the leaves. One leaf with tears. Dents to the roundel finial and some rusting. Base possibly been off from the egg. Replaced square nut.

(illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2161 The case, restoration to the the right hand swan neck, half way down, possibly lacking rosettes to the roundels at the tips of the swan neck, minor piece of veneer missing left hand side of frieze above left hand baluster column 1.5 x 1cm , some bruising to the left hand baluster column, possible old breaks to each baluster column, just above the vase shaped baluster where it joins the long slender baluster, traces of old glue and restoration on the left hand side of the top baluster, re veneering to the right hand angle of the arched glazed door where the hinge is attached, minor slither of veneer right hand side to the right of the column 1 x 1.5cm, trunk door well figured no warp, good feather figuring to the panel above the door, lower panel possibly replaced veneer inside of the cross banding small section left hand side 3 x 1cm, original back board with blocks, the arched dial some crackling to the white enamel, some rubbing to the gilt decoration to the spandrels, movement complete with pendulum.
