A retro vintage 20th Century Hollywood Regency faux figured walnut mirrored back sideboard credenza having large oval mirror panel with frame surround. Below a break front sideboard base with faux pillars flanking the central double door cabinet cupboard having a oval glass centre. Further cupboards to each side with drop handles and all raised on a plinth base. The mirror can be removed. Measures approx; 175cm x 200cm x 50cm.
Sutton Hoo Helmet Sculpture “RAEDWALD” In Copper on wooden plinth of the famous Sutton Hoo helmet by local artist Spadge Hopkins. One of only five made. Spadge Hopkins creates on a full time basis, informed by experience gained during a creative career that involved leadership, product design, the music industry and automotive engineering. Currently he tends to work in three dimensions and in metal, with recent forays into the world of printmaking. He has been practicing and studying autodidactically, producing varied work since the 1980s. Recent exhibitions include Ipswich, Cambridge and Mayfair as well as Public art in Cambridge, Woodbridge and sculpture trails at Raveningham and Potton Hall. Influences include Duchamp, David Smith and Calder. Having worked with found metal objects and rock music themes; he is currently exploring silhouette and shadow and producing 3D visualisations of animals and birds in copper and steel. He also uses the steel cuts in the production of printing plates. Spadge has also curated a number of exhibitions. Until recently, before moving to a Victorian School in Norfolk he worked in a rambling array of barns and sheds in Framlingham and has strong links with London, Cambridge and the West Country.
