An English Majolica insect and frog vase, in the style of George Jones, circa 1870, the spherical vase decorated in relief with leafy ivy branches inhabited by four leaf beetles, on three squatting frog supports, shaped plinth, in typical cobalt blue, green and ochre tones, no factory mark but painted numerals 2553 in black (6 inches approx.), excellent overall condition, (v. minor glaze losses to base).
