The break arch is attached to the square dial; the chapter ring, seconds dial and name plate have been re-silvered; the pendulum suspension is too short for the leader to rest in the crutch.

The plaque bears the name of the recipient who worked for the Midland Railway in Derby, prior to receiving the clock as a gift.
