A late Victorian mahogany partners desk, of serpentine outline, the top with tooled leather writing surface and foliate carved edge above a kneehole drawer flanked on either side by a further short drawer each with brass drop handle, each pedestal fitted with three graduated drawers with opposing cupboard, with plinth base and raised on recessed castors. A Chinese export silver epergne early 20th century, maker`s mark WHL, the central trumpet vase on a knopped stem and with wavy rim, engraved with a bird, dragonfly and bees amidst prunus, the two smaller side vases of similar form, on a stepped pedestal base with carved hardwood plinth, 10½in. (26.75cm.) high, weight 8.2 tr.oz.

Ian Fleming and James Bond interest - A honey oak roll top desk 1930s-40s, made by Sol Nott, a Leeds cabinet maker, the tambour front enclosing an interior with an arrangement of eighteen various pigeonholes and stationary slots, over a concealed kneehole drawer and three graduated drawers to each pedestal with central bar handles, on recessed plinth bases, 52½in. (133.25cm.) wide, 28¾in. (73cm.) deep, 39½in. (100.5cm.) high. * This desk was the property of Geoffrey Appleyard, a WW2 Special Operations agent who is believed by some to have been one of four men who became the inspiration for Ian Fleming`s character James Bond. Fleming was personal assistant to the Director of Naval Intelligence during WW2 and in late 1941 his job was to act as a liaison between the Royal Navy and SOE, working with the Operation Postmaster team of four men, including Appleyard, Captain Gus March-Phillips, Graham Hayes and the Dane Anders Lassen before their daring raid to steal three enemy ships from the port of Santa Isabel on the neutral Spanish island of Fernando Po, off the West African coast.
A pair of Regency style tole ware table lamps late 20th century, the black lacquered metal lamps of vase form, with gilt stiff leaf and oak leaf decoration and twin gilt lion mask ring handles, on pedestal plinth bases, with ivory pleated silk shades, 15½in. (39.5cm.) high excluding fittings.

An 18th century Guernsey eight day longcase clock by Nicolas Blondel the twin train bell strike movement with four turned and ring engraved pillars, anchor escapement, the backplate inscribed `OCTOBRE: 16eme No 38 L`AN: 1749`, further hand scratched inscription below detailing maintenance work carried out, the brass Roman dial with outer arabic minutes, matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, black painted pierced steel hands, the chapter ring signed `N: Blondel Guernesey` at six, gilt metal four seasons spandrels, in a country made beech and elm case, the hood with flared ogee cornice over a square glazed door with turned pilasters and rectangular side glasses, on a plain trunk and plinth base, 79in. (201cm.) high.
A French gilt brass pillar case carriage clock with push button repeat c.1900, the eight day two train coil striking movement with matt gilt platform lever escapement, with white enamel Roman dial with gilt hands, bevelled glass and Corinthian Pillar case with notched border to pediment and plinth, turned and fluted swing carrying handle, 5½in. (14cm.) high excluding handle.
