PAIR OF CONTEMPORARY SILVER CANDLEABRA - 1968 a stylish pair of silver twin light candleabra, in an architectural style with plinth like bases, a resin ledge and near vertical branches of rectangular sections. Unascribed maker, PDB, Birmingham, 1968. 12ins (30.7cms high), 59.5oz (gross). (2) *These candleabra were commissioned by the vendors father as a retirement gift from Somerset County Council.
An Edwardian stained beech and stencil decorated wall cabinet, the hinged door with stylised Art Nouveau floral detail revealing a simple later shelf to a plinth base, height 45cm, width 34.5cm, depth 18cm. CONDITION REPORT: A few small wood worm holes noticeably to the top of the cabinet, a few surface scratches and knocks, otherwise in good condition.
An Edwardian oak stationery box with pierced brass front section inscribed 'Post' and 'Delivery', with simple moulded plinth, height 12.5cm, width 25cm, depth 11cm. CONDITION REPORT: Light general surface wear, but overall ok. There are small holes to the back, presumably where at one stage it has had wall mounts.
GEORGES MORRIN (German 1874-1950); an Art Deco bronze figure mounted on a stepped white onyx rectangular plinth depicting a scantily clad young woman with a hoop, signed, height 27.5cm. (D) CONDITION REPORT: Some rubbing to the gilding noticeably on her dress, the hoop is slightly misshapen, a few tiny losses to the white onyx base which may be associated to the figure as the bronze figure is set slightly off centre. A late George III oak and mahogany crossbanded and inlaid candle box, with shaped back plate, hinged lid centred with an oval conch shell detail, with tapering front centred with an oval inlaid bird, height 51cm. CONDITION REPORT: The back section of wood where the hinges join the hinge has been replaced some time ago, there is a split up the side and the carcass is slightly loose. Damage to the moulding around the plinth base. General surface wear and tear. Postage of this lot would be approximately £18 + VAT within the UK.
A mid-Victorian figured walnut miniature chest of drawers, the later pierced fretwork three-quarter gallery above shaped moulded top and four drawers with glass handles, flanked by fluted pillars to a shaped plinth base, height 52cm, width 31cm, depth 24.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: As mentioned, the fretwork gallery is later, there is a small split to the front moulding approximately 3cm, also the moulding is sectional around the front, slight discolouration to the top, various scuffs throughout and sectional moulding to the base.
A late Victorian walnut, tiger fleck oak veneered and rosewood crossbanded miniature or apprentice chest, the moulded rectangular top above two short and three long graduated drawers with turned knob handles to a moulded plinth, height 35cm, width 34cm, depth 21cm. CONDITION REPORT: Slight lifting to the veneer on the top, small sections clearly replaced, general surface wear and tear, a few fleck replaced veneers to the front mouldings, overall general surface wear.
A good mid-19th century figured walnut miniature chest in the form of an armoire, the arched pediment above two mirrored doors enclosing four drawers with turned handles, a further base drawer, moulded plinth and turned bun feet, height 33cm, width 24cm, depth 20cm. CONDITION REPORT: This is a superb quality example, even the drawer linings are walnut with a good level of craftsmanship, the turned finials are later replacements to the top and the front door mouldings covering the join between the two is loose and has a section repaired at the lower end, general surface wear but overall a good example.
A Victorian mahogany dome topped sewing box, the hinged lid with Greek key inlaid border enclosing a fabric lined interior with two compartmentalised base drawers, with twin brass lion mask ring handles on a simple plinth base, height 29cm, width 46cm, depth 26cm. CONDITION REPORT: A few small areas of repair to the Greek key border, the top retains a good colour, light surface scratches and marks, there is a small patch repair to the right hand drawer where the left of the knobs are applied, the left hand drawer is missing the lock entirely, overall general wear and tear.
A boxed CMC M--042 'Mercedes Benz W196 Silberpfeil-Monoposto ('Silver Arrows-Single-Seater') 1:18 scale model car (af), with presentation plinth. CONDITION REPORT: Scuff marks to box, front left wheel and fittings broken and in need of repair. In protective styrofoam with attached label of authenticity. With instruction sheet. No booklet. Lift-out bonnet not sitting flush. Minor surface wear.
A late 18th century thirty hour oak longcase clock, with 12" brass dial inscribed 'Thos Ward, Wrexham', above long arched door and plinth base, height 195cm. CONDITION REPORT: This lot has not been tested and therefore we cannot remark upon running unfortunately. As a rule we do not test clocks. Comes with a pendulum and a weight.
A George III mahogany and chevron strung knife box of serpentine outline with hinged lid, now set with inner stationery compartment with simple moulded plinth, height 38cm, width 22.5cm, depth 31cm. CONDITION REPORT: Split to the top where the slope begins, repairs to the chevron stringing in parts, an old filled repair to the front of the hinged lid, the lock is replaced, general surface wear and tear throughout.
A miniature oak and silver plate mounted two bottle glass tantalus, with hinged locking arms and simple plinth base, height 17cm, width 13.5cm, depth 8.25cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some tarnishing to the metalwork, key present and works, the glass decanters are in good order, light surface wear. The tantalus is not marked Betjeman, that we can see.
An early 19th century oak cased longcase clock with domed pediment and rectangular plinth base, the circular brass dial set with Roman numerals and date aperture and signed Samuel Denton Oxon with cherubic spandrels behind glazed door, height 214cm. CONDITION REPORT: General wear and tear throughout, some losses, splits, scratches etc, hands and spandrels replacements, some other replaced sections, evidence of old wood worm to the back.

Pair of George III mahogany wine cisterns, on cupboard stands, the cisterns formed as urns with domed & fluted covers with pineapple finials, enclosing paktong liners, with gadrooned lips, waisted & fluted bodies & fluted & circular bases, one stand with three dummy drawers, the other with two pull drawers & cupboard, all with gilt metal loop handles, with crossbandings & satinwood stringing & reeded canted corners, raised on plinth bases. The urns 84cm high, 180cms overall height. Prov: Denys Wrey, 45 Sloane Street, 1969. (Partial sticker to the reverse of one cabinet that reads 'Curtis & Sons, possibly J.Curtis & Sons Leeds, illustrated) ConditionThere are areas of slight veneer loss and replacement, some trim is missing, The bases are possibly old additions and bases of the urns are possibly replacements.These Cisterns look good but will need some restoration and we advise inspecting them in person or sending a representative, We have added 50+ pictures to show all sides and areas.
