60th The King's Royal Rifle Corps Victorian 1848 London hallmarked silver Officer's pouch belt plate. A fine die-stamped example by Desiré Narcisse. Maltese cross surmounted by crown on ‘Peninsula' plinth; to the centre, within circlet ‘The King's Royal Rifle Corps', a strung bugle with ‘60' between the strings. The arms of the cross adorned with battle honours. Four screw posts to reverse. VGC

After the antique. A late 19th century French bronze model of the Albani vase by Barbedienne, the base signed 'F.BARBEDIENNE', on a serpentine plinth, 24.2cm high. The original marble vase was discovered at the Villa Albani, Rome and in the Barbedienne catalogue of 1886 was titled as 'Cratère vase consacré a Bacchus'. Provenance: Property from a deceased estate.
