Maltese cross surmounted by crown on ‘Peninsula' plinth; to the centre, within circlet ‘The King's Royal Rifle Corps', a strung bugle with ‘60' between the strings. The original marble vase was discovered at the Villa Albani, Rome and in the Barbedienne catalogue of 1886 was titled as 'Cratère vase consacré a Bacchus'. Provenance: Property from a deceased estate.
