A RARE WEDGWOOD BLACK BASALT BAFTA STATUETTE modelled by Eric Owen of a classical woman ("Stella") holding a satyr mask, on domed base and plinth, 22.5cm h, impressed marks, c1968-75 Awarded annually by BAFTA between 1968 and 1975, the statuette was specially commissioned and very few were produced. The present example was presumably un-issued, given the lack of any gilt inscription on the plinth. ++In fine condition
