Two Continental silver statues, study of an Aztec warrior, bearing axe and torch, dressed in ceremonial robes and headdress, standing on a plinth with leaf and foliate decoration, set on scroll feet, 18.5 H and a statue of a girl holding a floral garland, standing on an orb over leaf decorated finial, pierced leaf stepped base, paw feet, 18.7cm H.

Eardley Norton: a George III mahogany and brass mounted striking and musical bracket clock, the dial with foliate, scroll and flowerhead spandrels to the silvered roman and arabic chapter ring, the matted centre with date aperture, ornate pierced hands, the arch with silvered subsidiary dials for strike/not strike and chime/not chime and music section for tunes (March, Minuet, Song, Cotillion, March, Dance) centred by a recessed nameplate signed Eardley Norton London 2074, six pillar movement with triple fusee movement and verge escapement, hour strike on bell and music on thirteen bells with fifteen hammers, 5 1/4in. cylinder, two full repeat levers, the backplate engraved with leaves and scrolls around a cartouche signed Eardley Norton London, also numbered 2074 in top right corner, engraved securing brackets, the case with leaf and urn finial on fluted supports (damaged), caddy top flanked by four vase pattern finials, pierced brass foliate fretwork sides with material backing, brass handles, arched glazed front door with fretwork detail, fluted canted corners with brass detail, brass lined plinth base on brass bracket feet, 21in. high (not including detached finial and support). Eardley Norton is listed as working at Clerkenwell between 1762 and 1794. He was a member of the Clockmakers Company and had a reputation for making complex timepieces, sometimes with musical and astronomical movements for the export market. PROVENANCE Purchased by the vendor's grandfather William Strang, 1st Baron Strang (1893-1978) whilst Charge d'affaires at the British Embassy in Moscow 1930-1933. Thence by descent.
A large oak cased bracket clock, the brass roman dial with twin fusee movement striking on a gong, the backplate stamped W. & H. Sch. (Winterhalder & Hofmeier), the balloon-shaped case with acanthus scroll frieze, the plinth base with bun feet, 20in. high. NB By repute ex Royal Arcade, Newcastle. The Royal Arcade was built in 1831 by Richard Grainger and was Newcastle's first shopping arcade. It was demolished in the early 1960's to make way for the Swan House Roundabout.

Johnson, Walton: a Georgian oak longcase clock with silvered roman dial, outer arabic numerals, with ornate engraving of exotic birds and floral scrolls to centre, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, name boss to the arch, foliate finials, two train movement with anchor escapement, the case with plain top above arched glazed door flanked by columns, rectangular waist door on panel base with plinth support, with weights and pendulum, 84in. high.

John Worsfold, Hampton Wick: a stained pine thirty hour longcase clock, the posted movement with anchor escapement, the brass dial with silvered roman chapter ring, engraved floral centre, single pointer, the case with blind fretwork frieze above a glazed door (detached), rectangular waist door on panel base with plinth support, with single weight and pendulum, 73 1/4in. high.
A French ormolu mantel clock, with porcelain roman dial signed 'Wetherell, Paris", French drum movement striking on a bell, urn pattern finial, the case decorated with figures and acanthus style decoration, inset Sevres style panel, with giltwood and button upholstered stand on ebonised plinth.
An onyx, brass and Jasper ware three-piece clock garniture, late 19th/early 20th Century, the four glass mantel clock with enamelled arabic dial, French drum pattern movement, signed A.D. Mougin, numbered 1900 5 2, striking on a gong, twin tubed mercury pendulum with artichoke style finial, plinth base with decorative feet, 17in. (43cms) high; together with a pair of garniture urns, with ram's mask and loop handles.

A 19th Century gilt breakfront overmantel mirror, of classical architectural form, the central arched pediment with egg and dart moulding, torch and quiver motif above a frieze decorated lion mask and floral scrolls, further swags either side, central circular bevelled mirror plate below with wreath and ribbon design boarder, flanked by a pair of rectangular bevelled glass mirror plates in ebonised reeded slips, leaf pattern corbels, all raised on reeded ionic ribbon twisted columns, on plinth base, 56 1/2 x 8 x 38in.
A Victorian walnut secretaire bookcase, the flared cornice above two glazed panelled doors enclosing adjustable shelves, secretaire drawer below with fitted interior, carved front and ornate brass handles above a a pair of carved panelled doors, raised on a plinth base, 48 x 20 x 87in. high.
